In my city there are geriatrics at the community college. But also kids right out of high school. It shouldn't be a problem at all.

Who is going to know how old you are unless you tell them???

Some 18-year olds have thick beards and look like they're 30-35. Some 28-year olds when they are clean cut look like they are 20, etc..

Nobody is even going to know or care. Go back and do it.

Do what you gotta do, but also keep in mind that you don't HAVE to do university. You might want to see if your local community college has any worthwhile programs.

It'll be cheaper, for one, and they have a lot of evening and weekend classes if you have a day job. I used to work at one, and the average age at a CC is like 26, so you'd fit right in if you're worried about that.

Definitely check out community colleges. All the ones in your area. The one closest to me is 45 dollars a credit hour. Each class is I think 3 credits so that's 3x45. What is that, 135? If not it's close to that :heh:. Then you can either get a job with that or transfer to a university. If you didn't know.

I live in Omaha which is right on the border of Nebraska and Iowa. Even with out of state tuition people from Iowa can go to my Nebraska community college for cheaper than their community college on the other side of the river. Because they have sports and a radio station, so it costs more. That's why I say check out all the ones in your area. One might be significantly cheaper. And a lot of the teachers are good too.

I would worry more about the job hunt than the school. There are older people in school now, more than ever. You might fit in or stand out.

The job hunt is where age is going to matter a lot. There is a lot of age discrimination happening out there.

I think 29 is a little young to be worrying about age discrimination. :heh:

Against younger people though from what I've seen...

i remember back when i was on campus getting my degree i took a night course and most of the people in there were older folks who worked full time, had kids and were living the grown persons life. meanwhile i was still living that carefree, study hard/party harder life. interestingly enough, that class was one of my favorites because everyone contributed and i learned a ton.

it's never too late to better yourself. if going back to school is what you want to do, go back, focus, attain new knowledge and start your new career.
