so your asking as a Christian if I read the bible and think "this doesn't make any goddamn sense, what kind of people wrote this fukking thing" :snoop:

Don't know what's so crazy about that. Lots of Christians do it. I did it too. I was a good Catholic boy but every time I read certain parts of the Bible it made me question what kind of God I was worshipping. That's kinda what critical thinking is.

You're right, I don't know. I'm just reporting what some people claim to believe. I don't know if this entity is good or not, and I'm not sure if it makes sense that something can be perfectly moral.

Yea Im not sure what perfectly moral means so they that say such would have to explain what they mean I guess.
Then no, I don't think it's reasonable.

So back to the parent/child/car analogy. You also believe that the parents are unreasonable to take back the car?

If I actively search for god, and can't be sure I've found it, whether or not I go to heaven or hell is no longer up to me. If I die today an atheist, I have committed the one unforgivable sin, and cannot choose to go to heaven anyway.

You chose not to by being atheist.

And why am I subjected to eternal torment?

You CHOSE to be atheist lol

Because I've committed the heinous crime of using the brain god supposedly gave me, and refused to blindly accept a religion I was forced to believe. God knows what would convince me, and could manifest in a way that would prove to me his existence, but chooses not to. Why am I responsible for his actions?

I've never read in the bible that using your brain is a "heinous crime" especially since its required to understand what exactly God wants from you. Nonetheless if God wanted you to just believe, then you wouldnt be given free will. Instead, you DO have free will thus have to use it to either accept or reject God Almighty.

"Why am I responsible for his actions?"

You're responsible for YOUR actions which consists of choices that YOU have to make. Of course you can interchange YOU with my name/me because this applies to me as well.

1 Samuel 2:6
"The LORD brings death and makes alive; he brings down to the grave and raises up.

Maybe it was this God?

You can't choose to believe something. You're either convinced or not convinced. If tell you I'm holding something behind my back but you watched me put empty hands behind my back and you know I have no sleight of hand ability and saw no evidence of me being able to hold anything there you can't make yourself believe I have something in my hand. You can't choose to be a believer or a non-believer.

Yes, he can take away life.

I'll continue. But let me ask. If you get it, and get that life came from Source, why can the Source not take back what belongs to him?
But why did he send bears to murder children for mocking a bald man?

I would assume to make an example of those that mock/harass God's servants

Why did he kill innocent children in the flood? And innocent people in Egypt?

Who decides if one is guilty or innocent? YOU or the JUDGE?

You can't choose to believe something.

I disagree. As your later analogy explains without my help

If tell you I'm holding something behind my back

I'll stop it here since the rest of your analogy adds things that make it pointless to believe the opposite. Ok so you tell me this while holding your hands behind your back. You are saying that I could NOT choose to either believe you or not? Why?

You can't choose to be a believer or a non-believer.

I disagree. Despite religions, false teachers, false prophets.. etc... THERES LITTLE (if not NOTHING) that should honestly lead a person to believe that the universe was NOT intelligently designed. Thus, they are choosing to be atheist because of their problems with religion, or their problem(s) with God not answering prayers, or whatever problems they may have.

You can't figure out if a variety of children of all ages, from birth to 10 years old deserve death for ANY REASON?

The source can by all means take back the life he's given. It's the manner in which he does so that so dikkish. It should make you wonder why you worship such a being, and why you should take your morals from his wisdom.

You don't know why atheists stop believing in your god pal. You're just making assumptions.

Are you asking me if there is a reason that kids should be put to death?

Idk. If know the Creator of ALL EXISTENCE, do you think theres a better source of wisdom? Or do you think somehow, someway, a man will outdo his Creator?

Actually I do know SOME reasons why people do not believe in God. I stated some. I did not say the number of atheists this applies to.

I guess you'll ignore the crux of the post to cling to this huh? :ehh:

If he thinks it's fine to kill kids innocent people. Yes. I think his (or his writers') idea of morals could do with lots of improvement.
