I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
The second. Coppola needed the money and needed a hit. Like his back was against the wall after a string of flops and he was in debt.

I know we give directors and actors a hard time when they make decisions that are obviously money driven (even tho to be real, even the good decisions are still money driven to a degree), but they still have the same issues we all have but on a larger scale. I’m sure most of us can relate to needed some money in a pinch and feeling like our back is against the wall

If you want to get philosophical about it - The Godfather Part 3 sort of represents Coppola's falling influence in Hollywood.

Part 1 - He had come into his own and got power.
Part 2 - He was at the height of his power.
Part 3 - He was slowly losing his power.

Last time I rewatched the films I skipped this one. I've been thinking about it recently though, its a good film. Other than Sofia Coppola (she's pretty hot here with the long hair but her acting is poor) it had some fukking cool shyt in it. The whole banking scandal with the Vatican is pretty cool (and only semi-fictional), the opera scene at the end etc.

I think its underrated, will have to watch it again soon.
