Not true. 2 of the 3 main characters are with black men in the film. The third.. well they don't show her with a man at all. The movie is based on a true story and they ain't give white people no passes.

Hmmmm I member the trailer janelle said some slick shyt about white boys being cute
You sure there is no bedwench going :mjpls:
That's only thing keeping me from the movie

Lowkey white savior movie

I saw it in a majority black theater and when Kevin Costner took down the colored sign, the crowd roared with applause :pachaha:

the movie highlighted the brilliance of the 3 women, but the way it framed the desegregation of NASA was very suspect in my eyes

She said one of the pilots/astronauts was cute but she's happily married to a black man in the movie.

Yes and no. He was in his own world and didn't care about anything but putting a rocket into space for the most part. He never talked about his issue with racism or feminism. If it weren't for fathering bringing up that she has to run several miles to the bathroom in the 'colored' women's section would he have not taken it down.

Even when she was fighting the hater lead engineer to get in the room, he didn't do shyt until much later on.

Did you see Waiting to Set It Off? I hope it's not a bunch of angry black women going around robbing people.

Is that the movie where Queen Latifah is a butch then breaks up with her woman to marry a man that later leaves her for a white woman...:ohhh:

I liked that movie but my favorite was I'm gonna get you Menace........:lolbron::mjlol:

Yeah that's the one! But I didn't like how Hollywood jerked around Keenan Robert Ivory Townsand Wayans just to get the movie out. I can't wait to see Low Down Dirty Shaft. That is gong to be epicly piff.

Did you see Friday the 13th Halloween on Elm Street last night? It was an uncut marathon

I saw Hidden Figures last week; it was not a good movie, sorry. It felt more like a tv movie (a lifetime TV movie no less) than something that belong on the big screen. While the real life story of these women is amazing, the movie itself failed to capture that and felt quite hollow.

And don't even get me started on the math; the math showcased in this movie was laughable. I knew I was going to be in for an eye-rolling ride when the director/screenwriter thought that doing basic 9th grade algebra and the ability to identify various forms of TRIANGLES was the mark of a genius. :dame:

And the "rocket science/math" was even more insulting. That shyt was the first semestre of AP CALC at best.

Also I'm sad to say but Tariji was horribly miscast. The other two ladies were great tho, with the comparatively limited screen time they received.

I saw this movie for 2$ thanks to Mobile and honestly, that's how much it was worth to me. I feel sorry for anyone who had to pay full price.
