I cook for myself and order for myself. The rare times I'm in a group setting, the bill will be discussed before we set foot in the motherfukker.

This is why I hate going to eat with large groups of people I dont know.

Had this happen one time where it was probably about 40 people or so.
It was a college graduation for a friend combined with a family reunion.
Bill was just under $5000.

People started the bullshyt with wanting checks split.

The restaurant refused and I know multiple people were told before ordering that they were not going to do individual checks.

The police got called.

An hour later and no progress.

I eventually just took the check and went around the room collecting as much cash and money on apps as possible and put the bill on my card.

I ended up getting around $4200 out of the $4900 that night.
and someones father gave me the rest of the money eventually.
Took about 3 weeks to get it all.

Never got any money for the tip I left.
I would say it took about 2 and a hours that night fighting over the bill.
Would have went way better if so many people werent drunk and yelling.

Easily the worst experience Ive ever had in a restaurant.
If there werent some white people in the group, I think the police would have just started arresting people.

Nah. It's black people and it ain't even close. My folks owned a restaurant in Englewood. Almost everybody in the service industry will tell you the worst customers are black folks and I'm not even mad cause it's true.

Look at all the restaurants on the south side of Chicago. You can't even do call in orders no more. You got to go in and place orders. Half of them force you to pay cash. For the other half that don't, you got to show Id. If you show Id, the card got to be a card that has a chip on it.

Customer service at black restaurants is shyt because they have to deal with shytty customers. Customers then have to deal with shytty customer service so then they become shytty customers.

It's a revolving cycle.

My uncle's fraternity brother owns Truth Italian Kitchen in Bronzeville. The stories I hear about the customers there is ridiculous.

Like the video in the Op, service industry workers try not to escalate problems so they discount the bills down, take off a few drinks, take off a few entrees, and nikkas still be ridiculous.

Y'all brehs need to become comfortable with the fact that this stereotype is indeed true.

It may just be cultural. I don't know.
