I hate that Scott is doing this, and I hate that Mann is doing Heat 2. We don't need sequels to these films, nor do we need them entered into the "franchise" halls of slop for streaming services. This could have been an interesting, new Roman/gladiator/etc film instead of a sequel. Just like Mann could have simply done a new crime thriller.

Ridley Scott sucks.

He directed the first one

He also directed a bunch of bullshyt since.
He's not repeating Gladiator. That was a perfect storm carried by great actors.

He definitely better than Zack Snyder though

Pedro Pascal suprisingly looks like Emperor Caracalla, too bad he's playing a fictional character.

Instead we got this as Caracalla.

Also why they make Geta and Caracalla redheads? They're supposed to be Berber and Arab descent.

Denzel as Macrinus looks great.
