considering at least three dudes in this thread are white I'm kinda shocked there ain't a more violent reaction to the use of "cac"

:mjpls:

anyway Rise of Cobra was alright other than the weird choices for characters and dumb looking power suits.

"Instead of using interesting Joes, why don't we just take Ripcord and Breaker and change their skin color :smugbiden: " I woulda taken Common as Roadblock before that dude they picked as wack-ass Heavy Duty.

He's done, b. Gone about 15 minutes in. Can't stand that dude anyway, he was a terrible choice for Duke. Duke is my favorite Joe but if that means Tatum playing him, I'm glad he got killed off.

I enjoyed its specifically made for people who watched the 80s cartoon if you didn't you won't like it it doesn't cater itself to a broad audience
I watched it in IMAX 3d and the snakeyes, storm shadow and jinx scenes were pure piff in 3d:bryan:

Movie critics are usually good writers, educated on film theory, who have seen and continue to see many movies. If a collection of 200 of them hates something, it probably isn't good.

This is a GI Joe movie though, it was going to be dumb as shyt from the beginning and critics confirming that shouldn't change your outlook if you wanted to see it. More often than not you're going to like a movie you actually went to theater, paid for, and saw.

Movie critics normally hate movies like this, they don't understand that every movie isn't supposed to have someone being extra emotional in order to be good. Like all the movies that win oscars are loved by these same critics, but people that want to see g.i. Joe normally don't care for those movies. So :pacspit: what these critics think..

G.I. Joe," a sequel starring Channing Tatum, Dwayne Johnson and Bruce Willis, secured $41.2 million in domestic ticket sales from Friday through Sunday, according to studio estimates.

Last week's winner, animated prehistoric adventure "The Croods," slipped to second place with $26.5 million in North America (the United States and Canada). "Tyler Perry's Temptation" landed in the No. 3 slot with $22.3 million.

"G.I. Joe" opened Wednesday evening to get a jump on the Easter holiday weekend. The cumulative box office after Sunday is estimated at $51.7 million. In international markets, the movie racked up $80.3 million, for a global haul of $132 million.

"The result is as spectacular as the look of the movie," said Don Harris, president of domestic theatrical distribution at Paramount Pictures.

"We couldn't be happier with the result in terms of both the domestic and international box office and the response from movie goers."
