Anyone in GA can give first hand accounts?

Metro Atlanta is pretty much closed. Businesses on the outskirts seem to be the ones opening. My barbershop is closed till June. No chain gyms are open. The only movies that are open is the drive in and u can’t get concessions.

Clubs and bars closed.

lemme let y’all in on a not-so-secret fact. They never stopped doing hair and nails here. They just doing it legally now.

Yeah the total number is down, but the actual trend goes up and down

4/7 1598
4/8 1048
4/9 681
4/10 974
4/11 402
4/12 286
4/13 1074
4/14 957
4/15 682
4/16 1108

I'm too lazy to do the rest, but you can see it has not been 14 straight days of trending down since 4/7 (or since 3/14, when the first report cases came in). Still not enough for reopen according to White House standards.
intermittent spikes are ok
it’s the overall trajectory that matters

Probably best to do a 7 days moving average of some sorts... would also like to know test per day as well.

Edit: I’m going to start the graph, where did you pull this data from?

2 EDIT: beaten to the punch

Skeptical, so ~13 days after shelter in home took affect is when we saw a drop off of the 7day moving average in cases....
Also would like to see test per day #'s still.

Some of those spikes are pretty big. Like between 4/12 and 4/13, that's a 788 positive spike. 4/15 and 4/16 is a 564 positive spike. You really think spikes like that mean it's safe?
but there are also significant drops
this downward trend means Georgia can cope with new cases while partially reopening businesses. this is about how much medical services can tolerate

judging by the antibody results in Cali and NY, it is safe for the overwhelming majority of people unless you are older and/or have detrimental medical conditon(s)
(and the antibody results throws a wrench at case numbers for obvious reasons)

Probably best to do a 7 days moving average of some sorts... would also like to know test per day as well.

My area is looking pretty good, thank the :lawd:. Still in single digit confirmed deaths.

As for haircuts and all that, had a one-on-one with my barber last week. He only does appointments so it's always 1-1. Not about looking good for "massa" or for going anywhere, it's so I'm not out here looking like a bum at work, having to always wear caps, or wolfing in this 85,90 degree heat.
:scust:

Also has a look good, play good aspect to it. Something about that lineup being fresh elevates your game a little.

Finally, since I work in a hospital, going to the barber and catching rona is the least of my worries. :francis:
