Feel how you want about them, but they definitely had an impact on Hip Hop.
Impact is not synonymous with positive.
If I show up at your wedding uninvited and shyt on your wedding cake I would have an "impact" on your wedding.
In this case, hip hop is your wedding and the South is shyt.
I love the South. In the early to mid 90s the South was pretty much bulletproof. Then Master P came and fukked everything upman your disdain for the South is something else lol
and as I said, Mobb's prime shyt was perhaps better or at least equal (Infamous >>>) but over the course of time, Kast were more consistent.
and Goodie Mob are almost in the same ballpark, at the very least with Soul Food.
as for Nas, well I like to take digs at him whenever I can

Soul Food is supremely overrated on here.
Kast was more consistent but never came close to the Mt Everest like heights the Mobb reached with Infamous and HOE. Don't forget about the QB purple tape either.
By comparison, Kast was standing on an ant hill.![]()

Argue Ludacris had a positive impact on hip hop and NWA did not brehs. It may not be, but what's considered positive is relative. No one can deny the impact that NWA had on Hip Hop, but many don't view that impact in a positive light especially when compared to groups like Public Enemy.
Fair enough.I think quality wise, I'm making arguments for ATLiens and Aquemini, which at least are better than HOE (idk about Aquemini but ATLiens definitely). Then you throw Southernplaya into the mix too. I know you disagree so arguing it won't get us anywhere.
Lol what is the QB purple tape?
genuinely curious.
and nah Soul Food is a classic. Gets all the praise it deserves. Masterfully composed album and just amazing from start to finish. Maybe you need some soul food

Outkast has an unreleased album better than the Infamous?Breh, Mobb Deep never reached OutKast heights and it's Kast who stands on Mt. Everest where the Mobb is on an ant hill. I'm not talking about sales or commercial success. Kast is musically and artistically better than Mobb Deep.

Fair enough.
The QB purple tape is what I've taken to calling Noyd's EP. Almost all the beats are from HOE era Hav and you got P with killer verses on pretty much every song.
Outkast has an unreleased album better than the Infamous?
Receipts?
