Where did I argue that? I'm arguing that not everybody views impact the same. What I personally think of NWA's impact is neither here or there. I'm merely stating that there are Hip Hop heads that view NWA's impact on Hip Hop as the industry's way of attempting to curtail Public Enemy and artists like them.
How far you gonna move them goalposts breh? You need any help? I hear they are heavy. :sas2:
We're in this thread taking about music and you trying to pivot to the music industry trying to engineer society to fit their racist worldview breh?
Should we go ahead and have a discussion about Obamacare while we're at it since we're completely switching topics? :obama:

You're a Mobb stan. No matter what album I think is better, I don't expect you to agree. What I'm getting at is that you have BOTH members of OutKast who can write and produce. One of them plays instruments. This is a group who could share the stage with A Tribe Called Quest and Earth, Wind & Fire without missing a beat.
All that talent...and they never came close to the Infamous :mjcry:

That's not moving goal posts. This is about how people view impact. I could argue that NWA positively impacted Hip Hop. What do you think the counter to that argument looks like?

Half the nikkas in atl are not originally from atl. So this don't really count. They have had a impact the last twelve years. No doubt for the trends and non lyrical cats

Definitely not the biggest. Longest, sure.

ATL music scene is the McDonalds of rap music: popular for it's cheapness and mass production instead of quality.

Anything could be argued breh. I've even seen people argue Outkast is better than Mobb Deep. :mjlol:
Talking about music though, what is the argument that NWA had a negative impact?

And musically. nikkas in rap was not using funk and live instrumentation with spoken word like outkast... But black music dates before 1980's and Georgia has ALWAYS played an important role.

But the birth of music in America is New Orleans.

The roots beat them to the punch with the live instrumentation thing

And epmd were infusing funk into thwir production way before kast were too
