Here is the thing about Atlanta music (from a nikka who grew up through the 90s)

We know how to have a good time and not crab other region lanes. In fighting is just as norm as it is anywhere else but we respect the fukk out of other nikkas lanes while embracing our love for a good time.

We also have nikkas that cover any and all genres who can blow the fukk up with out as much hassle as any other place. Longevity for the conscious side may be slim, but trap, pop and dance comes easy because we usually break shyt here when it breaks out local anywhere else. The internet has kind of slowed that growth down but back in the day I was copping 50 cent and depart when cats barely even knew who the fukk them dudes was.

Why? Because we are a transplant city. Many artists only grew up here or returned after leaving, in some cases carrying the influence of other hip hop Meccas. We also broke many trends that have lasted longer than the careers of the artist who made them.
