In one breath people will vilify (men) for "over sexualizing" the female form, and in the next say they were being "exploited" because a film/show calls for them to flash some titty meat. Bruh. She did WAY more nudity than anyone else on the show, especially main characters, and came to the realization that they were casually exploiting her even when it wasn't necessary. Especially as Cersei is supposed to be borderline sex crazed and part of her actual character is her number of sexual partners yet she wasn't doing the most like that because her actress knew how to regulate.

They were straight up taking advantage of EC because she was naive.

Why was it imparative she have titties out for a scene if it wasn't for Cersei? All HBO shows sell sex, and she realized she was the only person being asked to sell it of her stature.

I don't know if naive is the right word. She didn't have the resume to say no and have the studio say okay and stick with her because they needed a quality actress. EC wasn't exactly the strongest actor on the screen at any point if we're being honest. She simply looked the part. The Cersei actress could afford to say no, because she has the resume that says she's going to be more than just eye candy. Before they had Cersei do nothing but sip wine and sneer, she was one of the best parts of the show. EC is only interesting when she's telling her dragons to kill someone. She was carried through the entire series by playing off the talents of her more talented castmates. KH had the same problem-- that why their scenes together were so trash.

Yeah, I recall reports coming out that both Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke didn't like how the story ended up being written. I also remember an article where Emilia said she felt exploited earlier in the show with her nude scenes... so you may be on to something. I think a lot of the actors on the show did not fukk with the direction the showrunners took the last season.

Yeah, the reading room clips say it all. They were like this shyt makes no sense and didn't even care enough anymore to combat it. When it released and they got all that backlash I'm certain the actors weren't surprised at all.

These bums purposely sabotaged the biggest show of a generation in order to sign a deal with Disney for a Star Wars trilogy that ultimately got scrapped. It's the biggest L of all time...to the point you almost wonder whether Disney purposely did it in advance of launching Disney Plus, knowing that kneecapping GoT early would hurt HBO's streaming platform plans.

Would ten seasons be overkill? Perhaps. But at the very least they should have finished with full seasons. S7 and S8 being a total of ten episodes each would have meant a total of seven extra episodes. Imagine what they could have salvaged, fixed, and improved with seven more hours. They literally ruined the show.

If Martin ever finishes, they're going to look even dumber because he's gonna nail these last books. IF they come out. The preview chapters alone from TWOW are better than most of the shyt in those final seasons, and include a variety of stuff that could have been included such as Barristan leading Dany's army (instead of dying like a jobber in the show), the Arya Mercy chapter (which they half assed in the show), Euron turning into the big bad, etc.

i believe they were going to do a "what if" south won the civil war show that got cancelled before it got off the ground

then they were gonna do a star wars trilogy that also got cancelled

i really don't think they ever gonna live those final seasons down. i think people see through it now. probably gonna have to go their separate ways to get any big time series/movie work outside of some random co-producer credits.

although Amazon or Apple TV might still just be desperate enough to throw the bag at anyone for some mid shyt with big names attached lol

The table read of the last two episodes are surreal. It's like you're seeing a family watch one of their own get killed and they can't do anything about it. And you're right, every actor, as the season unfolded and they could talk, openly shyt on the final season.
