It's not too late for HBO to retcon if we're being honest. The actors certainly wouldn't turn down the paychecks. They should go back to the beginning of Season 7 and start all over with GRRM writing the eps like he did prior to S5. fukk the books at this point. We all know that nikka will be dead before he's close to finishing.

They’ll NEVER get the actors of Jon Snow, Tyrion, Arya, or Daenerys back. They’d have to offer them movie star figures for them to even consider it.

The ending is the ending. No matter how fukked up and nonsensical it was thats just the reality.

The last season had a documentary where you could tell most of the staff and actors were over it. Shooting for months on end in Greenland or wherever they were at took a toll on everyone. That's a tall task to do annually

:wow:
yeah staying in the fantasy world too long can fukk with your head and planning it out is almost like running a company
combine that with a crazy fanbase and you'll want out
I don't blame George for taking his time with the books

Jon Snow wanted the fukk out of the show and was getting unbearable to the staff. Same with Cersei. It's easy to just blame the writers though.

I disagree. They're TV stars. Not movie stars. They may command several hundred thousand (and that's at the top of a large ensemble cast like GOT), but relatively speaking they're not making close to that in a movie production. You think Dinklage got the Brinks truck for playing a CGI dwarf in Infinity War? Of course not. You think Jon Snow and Robb Stark got a gold mine for Eternals? They did not. At the end of the day, these a workers doing a job. Very few actors can actually afford to turn down jobs.

Was it the show they had a problem with? Or the direction it was headed in (writing, execution)?

Yeah, I recall reports coming out that both Kit Harrington and Emilia Clarke didn't like how the story ended up being written. I also remember an article where Emilia said she felt exploited earlier in the show with her nude scenes... so you may be on to something. I think a lot of the actors on the show did not fukk with the direction the showrunners took the last season.

Lol. Society is funny. In one breath people will vilify (men) for "over sexualizing" the female form, and in the next say they were being "exploited" because a film/show calls for them to flash some titty meat. Not saying that EC is someone who complained about the over sexualization, but damn-- it's impossible to make everyone happy. Should directors only cast women who are "liberated"? Because apparently if you don't find those kinds of actresses, you'll have to hear later on about how much of a perv or misogynist you were i.e. Rosie Perez and JLo.

D&D rushed and ruined everything because they wanted out and start their Star Wars project. But they fukked GOT so bad they lost the SW gig too :mjlol:
Yup. When the last two seasons got announced as the final two HBO publicly stated this was their intention. They washed their hands of it. No one to blame but D&D.

You can't even blame GRRM because he was working on the show. He was avaible for everything they could ever need him for. They rushed to end it because they got given their own Star Wars trilogy AND HBO had greenlit their Confederate drama show.

And they lost both fukk them :mjlol:

The real shame is Netflix's thirsty asses gave them the Three Body Problem to convert into a serial and they are going to DESTROY that.
