George Karl is the definition of a MF that needs to just be punched in the face. Some of the stories Kenyan Martin told about George Karl and how much of a dikk head is upsetting. After how Carmelo put it, George Karl really did clash with every star he coached. A typical meat peeper filled with jealousy.

What did he say wrong?

He is overrated and didn't want to work hard, not compared to regular people, but compared to his peers. People always trying to celebrate him because he "look sweet" or whatever, but yea, he never competed at the level of the people he tries to include himself with.

I didn't think any of this was controversial.

Who does melo try to include himself with. Does he run around calling himself the goat or something ?

Furthermore that’s a ridiculous way for a new coach to introduce themselves to a role player better yet a star young player that you wanna relate to and get the best out of. And George Karl has a history of this

So you don't see a problem with the first time he goes to talk to his new superstar he tells him "I think you're overrated and I view you as a Detlef Schrimpf caliber player"? First meeting? How was he overrated? He was rarely in anybody's top 5 list and was looked at just as he is, somebody that was an unstoppable scorer who was weak at playmaking and defense. But even with that scoring is the hardest thing to do in the league, and he was an elite scorer thus a star player.

It's a message vs messenger thing.

Everyone agrees with what GK is saying but no one wants to hear it from HIM.

"Star young player." That's exactly the prima donna shyt in question.

He has always believed himself in the same league as LeBron and company. Never been to the finals, never won an MVP, slowed down the offense, and didn't play defense.

You can't be a coach and on the very first day you talk to your star player, you call him an overrated Detlef Schrempf.

1. Detlef was a really good player.
2. Carmelo was like 21 or 22 years old. Of course he has room to grow. If you're the coach, your job is to teach him and build his confidence.

:what:

The fact that George Karl is 72 years old, on social media, taking jabs at Carmelo Anthony speaks to what kind of catty hoe that man is.
You're a retired NBA coach. You should be growing weed in Hawaii or something like Don Nelson.
