Are they though? Trumps been running their party for nearly a decade. The ghost of McConnell still had the senate by the nuts and all their committee were pretty much the same.
Only change we saw was in the house and didn’t most of those people step down due to Trump fukkery?
Keep it a buck, they ran back to MAGA after historic defeats from 2018-2022.
Hard to compare though form my perspective because most of their policy is still coming from the same think tanks and donors.

Trump is old but isn’t the old guard. He’s the evolution of the tea party. And the people behind MAGA are not old guard Republican leaders, that’s why there’s so much fukkery. And McConnell hung around because he was effective at stopping the Obama agenda. He opposed that MAGA shyt and then rode the wave. It’s not about who has the “title” it’s about who is cultivating the ideas and communicating it. The Democratic Party strategy is still developed top down by 70 year olds.Are they though? The most effective legislation Biden pushed through was crafted by people who were in their 40s or younger. It was a bunch of warrenite ass people but people of that age demographic are not in charge of democratic messaging.
