he's got a plan, reviving the app that was hot for 6 months before IG ended their chapter :wow:

twitter was foolish to kill-off periscope jut because instagram gave them some competition. i didn't even need an account to watch periscope live. it was way easier.

I get what she's trying to prove but anyone can do the same after photoshopping a blue check. she would be better off saving her twitter profile to archive.org and pinning a tweet of that archive.org twitter url.

No one wants to acknowledge that places that have "free speech" always attract the worst types of people.
Is it possible to have a free speech website that holds respectful discussions?
No, but there is checks in real life. Say any slur freely and with no constraint and eventually someone will fukk your life up. Either monetarily or physically.
:mjlit: Tumblr wants back in the game. Now some people have reason to deplatform from Twitter.

If Tumblr allows soft porn Twitter is in trouble. Hell a lot of gif sites only eat because Tumblr stopped messing with porn. It’s still the most accessible gif site out there.
Mostly luck
and a significant head start. His family came from money.
elon paid way too much for twitter now he struggling to negotiate a subscription fee for that bullshyt. And this clown somehow managed to be the richest dude on the planet.
money and intelligence don’t go hand in hand. He basically won the business lottery.

This isn't going to turn out how the right expected. It looks like things will actually tighten up, here's why.

There is freedom and free for all. I think most want as much freedom as possible but Twitter and most other major sites aren't going to allow a free for all.

Why? The usual reason, money, advertisers etc.

Elon overpaid for this, has bills, loans, debts etc. to pay for. He can't allow a free for all because the advertisers will flee.

This tweet says it all:

L’Oréal is one of the world’s top 10 advertisers and spent more than €10bn on promoting its cosmetics, perfumes and shampoos last year alone. It allocates only a small proportion of its marketing budget to Twitter and is a bigger spender on TikTok and Instagram, which are more orientated to image-making and brand influencers.

The beauty company’s decision is one sign of far broader unease among advertisers to Twitter, and follows a similar decision last week by General Motors.

The largest US carmaker said it had “temporarily paused” paid advertising on the service “as is normal course of business with a significant change in a media platform”.

Interpublic, one of the world’s largest advertising groups, has also recommended its clients pause spending on Twitter for the next week.
