celebrities share their thoughts & opinions about a myriad of thing on twitter everyday!

what you think twitter is great for speaks volumes about what content you seek on it and not what others use it for.
No they don’t. It’s one of the things Musk highlighted at that start of this… the people with the most followers don’t tweet

Let’s look at one of biggest celebrities out now that got into quite a bit of trouble when old tweets resurfaced…kevin Hart

Do you see thoughts and opinions being shared on this account?

You're both right but you're downplaying the significance of the youth. Tiktok exploded off young people and is the most popular platform today. We'd been trending that way but the fashion world bent a knee to the Y2K designs they pushed, Ed Hardy shirts are popular again because of the youth. They're the culture setters/tastemakers

You always make sure the platform or whatever is accessible for them, they're the ones most easily manipulable and accepting to new routines. Get a cult following with them and they'll make sure the older generations know who you are. When they start looking for the new flash in the pan the idea is to have enough of them plus the older brackets to survive then thrive. If you're bigger than you were before they left many will come back once other flashs flicker out because they're already familiar with your brand, adaptation is the key

You don't need a Twitter account to start/run a business, it's mandatory you have a IG and Tiktok. You could probably get by with just TikTok, that's how many more eyes are on the platform than IG, but IG's just better for intimate communication. The youth have passed everyone but millennials in luxury spending so imagine if they had the wallets older gens had. 18-24 is one of if not your most important market if you want to make money/have a solid platform and they don't use Twitter that much except to make stan accounts
Bro, this is the paradigm. You needed FB AND Twitter 10 years ago, tons of businesses still have a twitter account, but yea, right now you create and IG and Tik Tok and in seven years it’ll be something else. No social media platform today is going to be the platform of the youth 10 years from now. There’s nothing Twitter or Facebook can do to combat the organic move to Tik tok, twitch and discord. You can try to appeal to them all you want; that’s not how youth work, technology and platforms get outdated incredibly fast just like music

Nice simple article on the various ways Twitter could potentially go down:

Also had this money quote:

"The tech journalist Ryan Broderick suggested in his newsletter that “Twitter has never been able to deal with the fact its users both hate using it and also hate each other."
I think it turns into the Hellscape he says it won't and subsequently tangentially effects the revenue of his other businesses. Disney backed out of buying it for that reason.

I think he has enough tech awareness to keep competent programmers and engineers on board, unless they start to tell him to kiss their ass in the midst of all his draconian cuts.

So option 5.

His own ego and hubris is going to do him in.

His ego and hubris is why he purchased twitter in the first place.

He’s literally taking suggestions on what to do with the company after he spent 54 billion :mjlol:

he's gonna kill one of the most useful features on twitter, filtering tweets from verified users and vice versa.

a whole bunch of non-notable verified organizations/people will absolutely pollute results when folks are looking for credible sources of information.
