Uhh if you buy it digitally from anywhere, you have access to both the Xbox and PC version thanks to the Microsoft Play Anywhere initiative.

Yo. You can buy the digital version anywhere and it's cross buy. It's not a Microsoft Store exclusive. Not sure why people keep thinking this. You redeem the code, and the game is there to download on both platforms.

Kind of makes it feel like the campaign is horde mode with cut scenes in between levels. I haven't beaten the game though. I highly doubt the rest of the campaign plays out like that.
