Because DeSantis manipulated covid data, didn’t enforce mask mandates etc to make it look like Florida did great throughout the whole pandemic. Conservatives loved him. Add in the anti gay bill, the Disney thing etc. he’s the fascist they’re looking for

The guy was almost recalled in his own state. The Coli is grossly over estimating how “liked” Newsome is. I would bet DeSantis is far more favorable to his own state than Gavin is. Gavin is an elitist. I don't think thats gonna sit well nationally with the Dem base.
