Just focus on your goals right now, because these other cats in there are doing the same thing (being insecure about your performance/early results at the gym is something that’s manifested within your own cerebrum, you just have to block out the demons and shift your attention to fitness – I find that with a great set of earbuds and your favorite hot music jams, you’ll be on your way Greek God Body status – and that’s the apparatus).

Dudes aren’t being as critical as you think they are.

And if so? Oh well.

I’ve been curing the 30 pound bar for about 2 months now and it feels great. I’m only trying to maintain cuz I’m already too big from my original aesthetic intentions.

It’s funny because you have this brawlique, 5 foot 12, 220 pound guy, who (for his ethnic background) is larger than life – being reduced to these elementary-sized devices (but I fractured my 4th and 5th metacarpals earlier in the year and reinjured my 4th during foot ball practice last month – so I really have no choice but to go easy, work it nice and slow, ya deeg?).

Don't worry mane, it's not a competition but only with yourself.

Just keep at it and i'm sure you'll be where you wanna be in no time. Broken watch.

.

thanks for the encouragement :ahh:

how much does just the bar weigh? :ohhh:

Oh, it's the curling bar - the ones with the mini weights on the side that you can't adjust/remove that come in the racks (on racks).

They are also superb for forearm sessions as well. Then, lying on your back and doing those tricep workouts with the bar behind your head. I don't know the terminology, i just do 'em. You'll be all right as long as you continue to switch it up.

just remember that this is going to basically be a year process

dont get caught up with where you "think" youll be and focus on the measurables

your checklist in this thread should be

Everyother day:
Meet 5x5 for an exercise(check)
Raise 5lbs for an exercise(check)

Weekly:
Did i lose atleast 1lb(check)

Monthly
Do I look different progress pic wise(check)
Did i lose atleast 2" off of waist measurement(check)

those are your goals each month

log your lifts here, and current weight/measurements and keep it steady

before long youll be looking back in a month or two wondering how you didnt start sooner :wow:

Day one:

I completed the squats, bench press and barbell row!

5 reps of 5 sets of each.

I broke a little sweat even with just the bar :whew:

The squats were the hardest. It was hard to keep my feet straight because my feet always have been weird pointing to the side :wtf:

the muscle above my knew kindda hurts. i can feel the impact the squats had on my legs.
