The '84 Babies
the period from 93-2000 Premier could do no wrong. I remember just fiending for anything primo, looking back group home wasn't saying a damn thing but those primo beats made the songs instant classics. I remember going to the school library during lunch to read about moment of truth, reading about the falling out with Jeru.

Man, these were good times.

What was the inital fall with Jeru over.

This is album is a true classic in a pure hip-hop form....Premo was in a zone with the production Guru was in the zone lyrically. Honestly their run from Step In the Area - Moment of Truth is underated when talking bout artists with 3-4 album runs. I remember Primo saying in an interview that during this time there was alot of personal stuff goin on in each other lives (ex. Guru's gun case) so they vented and poured everything into their music which resulted in the album. They were both scared Guru was gonna go up for a bid due to the gun incident (he said the skit before JFK to LAX was actually a real call) so they wanted to make sure they had that heat before he went up but he got of with probation.

Personal top ten album for me. Pure hip hop shyt.

Next time most underated track:

"U thought u brought your best rhymes, but they couldnt touch mine, i rocked u in your knot, hope u have better luck next time"

"The underground is where i dwell at,
its where i find my heaven
and where u find your hell at"

The pinnacle of Premier on the boards. 90% of that album is the highest grade of hip-hop you can find. Guru was correct with the rhymes, the word play and subject matter. Plus it had G Dep on it before the Diddy curse came upon him. Pretty great album.
