They are instructed to gut them all.

  1. The have a box on the shelf
  2. a box in the drawer
  3. a game and manual for the box in another drawer.

This makes no fukking sense. I'm telling you if it was a legit "I need to have a case on the shelf" then I would give you :yeshrug:.... but they have more gutted copies in the drawer.

One day they're going to get busted for selling used games as new.

the boxes are in different sections of the store, when there is a major release and not enough marketing material comes in for the bootleg boxes they put the actual ones around the store

Imagine if Footlocker let employees wear Jordans home then sell em as new cause they need a shoe on the shelf :laff:

The taking it home part can't be official policy

I was a manager at gamestop. When you would get a game in you open one and take the game out and put the box on the shelf. Also, employees would be able to "check out" games. If you go to there to buy a game specifically request that you don't want the gutted copy. After I left there I just started buying games from other stores to avoid it.

I bet theres some demon behind the counter purposely giving out the gutted copy and feeling like

:smugdraper: :shaq: to themself after they get the money.

Gamestop is terrible. The worst is them straight up throwing away old boxes and manuals just to put the games in these:

I still play older games but I like getting the full thing(case and manual included) there's several youtube videos of folks going through gamestop's dumpster(I don't do it, just saying) and finding games, manauls and boxes thrown out. I know they might need the space but still man.
