they are just selling the last ones they have on hand until the new shipment comes back and they can restock the shelves

so it is like if they are trying to sell a store display item as new? Why do they even open them up in the first place though? Just for display item purposes? It seems to me they had more than one "new" opened skyrim game that time I went. I don't see why they needed more than one to be opened.

marketing purposes..when the company doesnt send enough game sleeves for the generic boxes to be placed on the floor employees have to unbox to make sure there are cases on the floor that need to be there for marketing purposes...

Yo I've always wondered...

I know people that have worked there and a lot of Gamestop managers will let employees open a game and bring it home.

When they bring it back in, they still sell it as new and just re-seal it with a clear plastic sticker.

The fact that this sticker is even an item in stock means Gamestop is aware of the practice.

Is this illegal? Grounds for a class action lawsuit? Why would they think they can break the seal and re-sell it when their own policies of return won't let you break the seal?

This is fukked up :lupe:

PS I got 38.50 from Wal Mart for AC4 on trade in, phluck GameStop :smugdraper:

AC for the PS4 how much is burnout getting?

They are instructed to gut them all.

  1. The have a box on the shelf
  2. a box in the drawer
  3. a game and manual for the box in another drawer.

This makes no fukking sense. I'm telling you if it was a legit "I need to have a case on the shelf" then I would give you :yeshrug:.... but they have more gutted copies in the drawer.

They have been doing this since the PS2 days. I first came across this during the release Street Fighter Alpha Anthology. They aren't going to do shyt unfortunately

Breh, they did the same shyt to me when SVC Chaos: SNK Vs. Capcom was released. They tried to sell me it at full retail price, even though the case had been open. That was back in 2004. I been peeped their dirty practices. I stopped supporting GameRape a long time ago. I only fukk with Amazon and occasionally Walmart and Target if I'm in a hurry for a game. fukk GameStop though!
