That model doesn't work. Look how it killed Star Wars. People are too impatient these days
Star Wars was killed by the last Jedi, which quality wise was even worse than the last season of GoT, but made the same mistake: violently aborting story archs that people were heavily invested in.

As much as I want to see Aegon's Conquest, do they really have the budget for this? They didn't have enough money for Ghost and Nymeria's wolf pack in the last season, but they got money for Balerion, Vhagar and Meraxes going apeshyt on Westeros:unimpressed:

I'll be happy if that's the case, but I'm not getting excited about this just yet. I still remember feeling cheated from Dany's initial invasion of Westeros, which was pretty much one skirmish battle and a montage scene at Casterly Rock and Highgarden:francis:

I'm a bit in the middle of this, on the one hand the fire and blood stories are cool and way more interesting then some age of heroes shyt. On the other hand, we already know the story and how are they gonna go about it? A generation per season?:patrice: I don't have it on me but I remember there being a king who's life mostly was traveling around feasting with his subjects and building roads, not really something I want to watch.

HBO wanted to, the fakkit ass showrunners didn't. No idea what kind of contracts they have where HBO didn't just override them.
