Alicent wouldn’t send killers to Dragonstone and Rhaenyra wouldn’t kill a messenger( same can’t be said for Aemond) even if it was Otto.

There was a scene in earlier episodes where he tried to press Luke and Jace into fighting and Daemon slid in the frame. Aemond saw him and all the challenge in his face left. He knew he didnt want fukkery with Daemon because Daemon is for all the bullshyt at all times.
