Why would she do that now when her son has the only right to the throne? Why would she marry her kids to kids everyone in the realm strongly suspects are b*stards? You know how the whole realm except for Dorne feels about b*stards. They even make them for life with a b*stard last name.
That’s the thing- Alicent is playing the game a woman’s way- secrecy, gossiping, etc. Rhae is more forceful, in your face- in a sense, masculine. And that’s what is really turning people off. People accept brashness from men- like Daemon. People don’t like it when women operate from that same place/type of attitude and power. Basically, Rhae doesn’t “know her place”.
When all she’s knows is what she was taught by her father: her place is on the throne. So whatever she does is of no consequence as long as she lives to sit on the throne.
I agree to an extent…the problem is we haven’t seen any redeemable qualities from adult rhae…when she was 17-18, it was easier to empathize with her “free spirit” and desire not to be locked down by tradition…but now she’s almost 30 and moving even more reckless sexually (by law her kids can be put to death)…with daemon, we’ve at least seen some decent actions from him despite his a$$hole by nature demeanor

Nah it’s not cap, Alicent was her best friend. She wasn’t scheming. I don’t even fault Rhaenyra for not admitting what happened with Daemon and Cole. She was a kid who made a mistake. But that was ten years ago! The thot saw her side piece murder her betrothed’s lover at the beginning of her wedding festivities and she spends the next ten years having not 1 but 3 b*stard children with the next dikk put near her???

Decent ep. Didn't get the Rhae hate at first but it makes sense, at least have one child with Laenor. I do wonder if it turned out that way would Allicent still be plotting and would Rhae try to do the same. Question for the book readers, besides b*stards has there been any other character born with different features than their families'?

Nah... Alicent is fukking crazy and it's really her father's fault. Not once has it ever been mentioned by Rhaenrya or anyone else that her children would be harmed once Rhaenrya takes over. Otto planted that shyt in her head.It must be because Rhaenyra is a Targaryen, girl and gets most screen time so people automatically view her as baby Daenerys, even though she's the biggest piece of shyt in the whole show.

She feels betrayed because Rhae wasn't honest with her but she went behind Rhaes back to seduce her Dad. She's a whole hypocrite. And after watching a second time I like how Rhae is basically telling everyone "I do what I want, you do what you can". Otto and Alicent thought they was slick.

Rhaenrya even tried to remind her "fam we used to be best friends back in the day" and all she got from it was "this bytch think she slick", which may be true, but what she did ten years ago is a really weird reason to hate her, especially if it had nothing to do with her.
Again, this shyt comes down to Otto whispering in her ear that Rhaenrya is going to kill her kids.
