Some people only started watching GOT heavy when it became the new water cooler phenomenon show in season 5They're complaining about dumb shyt.
"Too many Targaryens"
"Too many grey characters"
"Too much political intrigue"
"Names sound too similar"
By then the writing and plot had firmly diverged from the books and all the tight japes and dialog from the books became epic dikk and boob jokes
These fans will probably hate a show like this because the material its based on has no good characters and relies entirely on plotting and scheming up until the war breaks out which is likely to be covered in later seasons
Also big point everyone involved is 100% down with the pedo incest feudal system where old men marry or get betrothed to kids. I already know that is going to be a huge hurdle for this show just because there's no hero pov character like ned stark or jon snow showing the alternative pov to the stereotypical villains

i used to think the starks were the good guys, but upon rewatching they are very flawed characters. And they all sucked by the end. Arya was a little cringe machine. Bran was creepy talking bout his sister being raped (bro wtf) and otherwise being an empty husk with no personality or charisma. And Sansa turned into a strong smart woman trope that was shytting all over jon for like two seasons despite not earning shyt. She's not smart cuz she hung out with littlefinger and got violated by ramsay nikka stop it
