Good running game? Average running game in 2001, they barely ran the ball in 2002, so it was nonexistent, 2003, they had a pitiful run game that was like the 2nd.worst in the league. They didnt get a running game until 2004 with Corey Dillon. He was a monster that year, but Brady was still the head of the snake. And that was in real time. So if Brady was game managing ffom 2001-2003, who was carrying the offense? Antowain Smith? Kevin Faulk? Who?

In 2001, Antowain Smith was a 1000 yard rusher averaging four yards per carry with 12 tds rushing and one td receiving. Brady was not carrying the offense with his 18tds and 12 picks. In 2002 Brady didn’t even make the pro bowl and the offensive rankings were bad. Those early patriots teams were based around ball control and defense not Brady’s arm.

People are discounting Purdy based on a preconceived notion because of his draft position, not his actual play/film. Where was the hate for Kurt Warner when he won 2 MVPS in 3 years? He had a HOF RB(Marshall Faulk), a HOF LT(Orlando Pace), 2 HOF WR's(Torry ****, Issac Bruce) and two good role playing WR(Az Zahir Hakim/Ricky Proehl). I dont recall any outrage for Warner garnering accoladed with that sublime cast. I dont recall Montana or Young being shortchanged for their great supporting casts, neither with Manning or Kelly or Mahomes or Burrow etc...

This is basically what it comes down to. It’s gonna take casuals a while to admit they’re wrong and say that Brock’s a legit QB, but that’s okay

That's one game, and was definitely by design because obviously they saw something in Philly's defense that allowed them to do that. That's actually against tendency because contrary to popular belief he airs it out and is more accurate on mid to deep throw than any other QB in the league. That's an actual fact which can be looked up and probably why the short passes worked so well against the Eagles because they expected him to test them down field more than he did.

Then look at his attempts vs yards. Of all QBS that have over 3000yds he has at least 50 less attempts and has the lowest percentage of YAC among them which shows that he gets yards in chunks. Deebo is only at like 400yds receiving this year and Aiyuk is near 1000 Aiyuk is averaging nearly 20yds per catch and very little of that is from YAC. You gotta watch rather than going by what they did when Jimmy G was the QB.

To be fair Mahomes threw 50 tds and you could see from his first start, he was doing shyt with the football that we've never seen. Let's leave him out of this conversation.

Right, and nobody can doubt that Mahomes is elite but you see how that offense struggles without a Tyreek Hill there. Anddddddd his numbers are not nearly as good as Purdy's or Tua's but it's because he has no weapons. Can't have it both ways.
