Even with Andy Reid,Tyreek Hill and Kelce...Alex Smith never been top 2 or 3 in air yards, passer rating, yards per game or completion %. Yall gotta stop with these dumb ass comparisons.

And Purdy's YAC rate is 49%. That's lower than Rodgers and Mahomes when they won their last two MVPs.
This post has been conveniently ignored.

If stroud was white, Purdy would be an afterthought
i'm not saying that, Purdy has been lighting it up....but CJ has also been on a tear, leading the league in passing yds as a rookie with a great TD/int ratio. However, Purdy has a higher completion percentage and the highest passing rating in the league. also has 3 more TDs and only 1 more int. i'm saying it should be closer given the circumstances

my 123 would be purdy, dak and CJ all very close

Oh no doubt. Im just saying if CJ was white, he'd be on the cover of SI and GQ with headlines of " greatest rookie ever!?!?" "Sexiest young bod of the century?!?!"

People are discounting Purdy based on a preconceived notion because of his draft position, not his actual play/film. Where was the hate for Kurt Warner when he won 2 MVPS in 3 years? He had a HOF RB(Marshall Faulk), a HOF LT(Orlando Pace), 2 HOF WR's(Torry ****, Issac Bruce) and two good role playing WR(Az Zahir Hakim/Ricky Proehl). I dont recall any outrage for Warner garnering accoladed with that sublime cast. I dont recall Montana or Young being shortchanged for their great supporting casts, neither with Manning or Kelly or Mahomes or Burrow etc...

i know all those game managers in the brady manning era are fuming

could have been superstars if they were born a few years later

Brady started off as a game manager though, let’s not act that those early patriot teams weren’t predicated on having a good run game and a stingy defense.

49ers..Braves..Celtics
McCaffrey faces the most stacked box in the league(40 percent)

49ers lead the league in Open percentage, separation, and YAC

Brock in one of the lowest in terms of tight window throws

But people like @Eric Brooks is gonna come in here with his "but, actually", like he's not being carried by the talent

I refuted every point made because you don't watch the games and it was apparent that you don't. Anyone saying he's been dipping and dunking all year doesn't watch the games

Just leave it alone, Purdy isn’t a game manager, he is the best qb we’ve had since Young

Nah 49ers are historically stacked....

CMC, Deebo, Aiyuk, Kittle.... How many teams EVER had that level of talent of weapons? You aint just gettin that by spreadin wealth and less on QB

Kittle one of the most talented TEs ever and they got that nikka straight up blockin wit other 3 they got. Barely usin him as a receiver.... Most teams in league Kittle gettin much more receptions and targets.... They usin him like Nick Boyle lol he barely see the ball

And this not even gettin to 49ers defense which is almost as talented...

Usin 49ers "blueprint" to do that will fukk over your team. Gettin the level of talent they have just dont happen often
I see what you're saying, but here's my point.

All those weapons don't even matter for the 49ers if Trent goes down because Purdy has not developed enough to withstand that hit. And THATS OK.

But, If a QB like Pat or Lamar or even Tua was on that team, that team is super bowl lock despite injuries due the higher caliber and quality of QB play.

What makes this team go is the offensive scheme and mind of Shanahan. If the 49ers and Chiefs were to swap their ENTIRE OFFENSE, the 49ers would STILL be in this position now because of defense, Supreme QB play, and Offensive scheme.

Realistically, Teams can trade in that 1st round QB pick, focus on drafting more weapons and defensive playmakers, and actually pay them, keeping the offensive unit together for 6+ years.

The fact that the 49ers have all this talent despite trading 3 1st round picks for a 3rd round pick speaks to my theory.

Oh you want a QB that’s airs it out and throws bombs?

Do you mind finding the chart or stat that shows all the long passes by QBs this year?:lupe:

It’s crazy we got to a point where we can find ways to criticize a winning QB to throw for over 300 yards and 4 tds in a game:francis:

Good running game? Average running game in 2001, they barely ran the ball in 2002, so it was nonexistent, 2003, they had a pitiful run game that was like the 2nd.worst in the league. They didnt get a running game until 2004 with Corey Dillon. He was a monster that year, but Brady was still the head of the snake. And that was in real time. So if Brady was game managing ffom 2001-2003, who was carrying the offense? Antowain Smith? Kevin Faulk? Who?

Bradys superbowl numbers in his first 3 superbowls are better than Mahomes. Him being a game manager is overblown.
