What's not true?
That the best player got the MVP prior to 2012. Look at Elway in 87, Montana and Rice were better, yet he won. Warner, Rivers and Peterson were better than Manning in 2008, yet Manning won without even winning his own division. In 2009, Brees and Favre played better than him. In his defense, they threatened to go undefeated that season, Brees and Favre still played better QB that season, though.

Ahhh yeah point taken there.......At least other positions had a legit chance of winning. Now, no one will vote for anyone but a QB.

The Saints and Colts both almost went undefeated but the Colts decided to bench their starters when they were 14-0 which was ridiculous.

People are discounting Purdy based on a preconceived notion because of his draft position, not his actual play/film. Where was the hate for Kurt Warner when he won 2 MVPS in 3 years? He had a HOF RB(Marshall Faulk), a HOF LT(Orlando Pace), 2 HOF WR's(Torry ****, Issac Bruce) and two good role playing WR(Az Zahir Hakim/Ricky Proehl). I dont recall any outrage for Warner garnering accoladed with that sublime cast. I dont recall Montana or Young being shortchanged for their great supporting casts, neither with Manning or Kelly or Mahomes or Burrow etc...

McCaffrey faces the most stacked box in the league(40 percent)

49ers lead the league in Open percentage, separation, and YAC

Brock in one of the lowest in terms of tight window throws

But people like @Eric Brooks is gonna come in here with his "but, actually", like he's not being carried by the talent

I'm more incensed by the insinuation McCaffrey should be an MVP front runner---->Cowherd yesterday just said he the best back of the last decade...

As if Henry didn't go on a 3-4 year run with shakier QB play than this, shakier line play than this, shakier receiving talent than this, a shakier defense than this. But McCaffrey "the real MVP". The real MVPs of that SF team are 71 and 19...

This McCaffrey shyt finna make me start a thread. This mf averaged 47 rushing yards/game, 89 scrimmage yards/game, when 71 and 19 were out. 3 straight L's, 17 points/game...

Muhfukkas need to stop gassing this white boy. He's nice but he's probably the biggest beneficiary of that All-Star team they got in SF, he not moving no needles in terms of wins and losses the way Henry did without this Dream Team offense...

The white Emmitt Smith...

I'll allow any Purdy MVP favorite talk as long as mf's keep gassing McCaffrey as "the real MVP"...

I'm legit close to making a thread on this shyt. And Purdy nice, he shouldn't be the frontrunner because we saw what he looked like without 71 and 19. But he nice and deserves consideration...

Reek the real MVP...

He's Alex Smith status.. gtfoh. This year it's gotta be a WR or RB, none of these qbs fully deserve it

Even with Andy Reid,Tyreek Hill and Kelce...Alex Smith never been top 2 or 3 in air yards, passer rating, yards per game or completion %. Yall gotta stop with these dumb ass comparisons.

And Purdy's YAC rate is 49%. That's lower than Rodgers and Mahomes when they won their last two MVPs.
