Nah, it absolutely IS victim blaming. Gabby basically said dressing modestly and being "classy" will prevent rape - which anyone with common sense should know by now isn't the case. This is FURTHER solidified by her stating that dressing provocatively "entices the wrong crowd"; i.e., rapists. All this shyt is, is a bullshyt argument that harkens back to the idea that "men can't help themselves".

She didn't say anything about prevention in her tweet.

You are taking her comment in a vacuum. Are you really trying to say her comment doesn't put some of the responsibility on the woman that is raped?

Yes that is exactly what I am saying because that isn't what she said.

Preach precaution and judgement to reduce the likelihood and probability of unwanted attention,.
Either be rape or robbery, I never put the blame on the victim. But if you a show off or a hoe you getting attacked more than everybody else. I believe that's what Gabby tried to say, precaution never hurt nobody.

this is exactly why Black men shouldn't leave the house unless they're wearing a suit and tie.

Like women need to take "precautions" to reduce the likelihood of "unwanted attention", Black males gotta do it too, right?

I'm starting to see her point and I've decided that I will not be wearing anymore hoodies moving forward as I'd like to do my part to reduce the likelihood of being mistaken for a person who wants to attract the attention of law enforcement.

Yea us brothers need to stop wearing Jordan's

We need to wear suit and ties everyday

Yeah... :what:

if your parents haven't told you keep your hands out of your pockets when youre in stores, take the hoodie off of your head, pull your pants up, don't behave in way that's disruptive, try not to be extra fidgety and loud as precautionary measures to try to reduce the likelihood of unwanted and negative attention, then you weren't reared properly.

Gabby is only real one in that crew, and easily the finest.

I'm riding with Gaby

"She's hot, therefore I'll co-sign whatever dumb shyt she says."

Yeah... :what:

Follow the thought through though. There's a difference between parents teaching their kids to take precautions, and you seeing some innocent dude get shot by the police and tweeting him with, "Maybe you shouldn't have had that hoodie on with your pants hanging low and you wouldn't have gotten shot."

I just find it ironic when people talk about victim blaming then tell NFL or NBA players they shouldn't be out at certain time because, "nothing good happens after 12." I remember Chris Copeland from the Pacers got stabbed and had to apologize for getting fukkin stabbed. You have a constitutional right to be where ever the fukk you want to be.

Same thing if I go around waving stacks of money and get robbed, I bet you lames would victim blame a nikka then saying,"you shouldn't have been stunting bragging."

nothing, except when she comments on real shyt like this. shoulda sat this out, now come the phony apologies

That's probably how she feels. I aint trippin'. Not even at her apology.

We ask a lot from people we don't know. I wonder if it's to fill a void or if we're just that vain and judgemental.
