The only thing I kind of find a bit jarring is that it doesn't feel "real" enough because of the way it's filmed. All types of movie shadowing and camera editing was done to give it this dark look but I don't think that's what this should've went for.

How it's shot is one of the best aspects of the show.

watched the first episode to see what all the coli buzz was all about and was highly disappointed with this hot

negative images and dysfunctional situations from start to finish

my top ten observations ..... stay woke fam!

• baby mama drama ... and a woman having more power and responsibility than the baby boy
• you're gonna have to pay rent if you're gonna stay here. she got a date tonight? sharing his bm!
  
• another song bout slinging dope in 2016
• mouthy hoodrat instigating a beef between two brehs instead of keeping her mouth shut and kim.
• shooting another breh over a hoodrat.
• not allowed in your parents home? wtf!
• they got a culture vulture hipster dj throwing the n-word in his face, that has influence on what gets airplay.
  
• got cray cray so-called NOI character gibbering nonsense.
  
• two c00ns sitting out in a cow pasture in the hot ATL sun supposedly watching over business Ala the wire

That would be too obvious. His old man wouldn't be confused as to why he dropped out then. Plus, ain't the kid under 3?

Whatever it is, I feel like they're gonna make a point to show how all the "hood dudes" are disappointed in him etc. This show is doing a lot of subtle shyt to dispel common black stereotypes...
"Black nerds weren't accepted in the black community" yet nobody in this show ever mentions how Earn talks and dresses different. Only person that treated him as "not really black" was the white dude. Loved that contrast of the Janitor greeting him as family immediately after that "nikka" scene.

The other stereotype of "black people don't value education" cause it's not cool to be smart is bullshyt too. So them being disappointed in him for skipping out on Princeton could help dispel that myth.

FX does role like that.
They cancelled critically acclaimed Theif and Terriers which had mediocre ratings.
Its hard to tell what they will let role and what they will kill.

Thief and Terriers came before Landgraf. Landgraf started his reign as FX chief by giving Louis CK a quarter mill and telling him to go do whatever the fukk he wants.
