Van actually sticks up for Earn is helping that dude while Earn is the entitled a$$hole.

But earn is funny and very likeable. Van is useless. The worst character since Franklin from gta 5

You called Van a "fake deep thot" based on the fact that she went out on a date with a dude and she told her IG Escort friend that does that.

Your whole basis for disliking Van is that. Meanwhile Earn spent rent money to hopefully get his man's song on radio because that was not a guarantee. She tryna make that dude grow up and raise their child, but because it spoils the party you hate that? She was the only breadwinner, while this dude be laying around smoking and not doing his job well. shyt, she bailed him out of jail.

- asking the Gun Range manager if he could go back and get his dog target poster, while being escorted out at gun point

- some of you will disagree with me about this one but Idc. Not telling Earn they wouldn't get the money from his Trade up plan until September.

So far all four of central characters are good intentioned fukk ups that easy to like,relate and root for.

They aren't even a real couple tho. They have history and a child together but that's it. She lets him stay cuz she cares for the nikka and only wants him to do right and contribute. She ain't asking for much or even being unreasonable in any way. they aren't officially together, so they're entitled to see whoever else they want in my opinion.

And Van's issues with Earn are valid. I don't dislike her at all, I just feel the show needs to give her more to do other than just be judgemental all the time. Earn, Alfred, and Darius only come off more likeable because we've gotten more time to know them. Last week was our first chance to get to know her and I felt they did a great job for the most part.

I have a feeling Van and Earn are going to end the season in opposite places from where they started.

At the beginning, Van was the one supporting their daughter while Earn was the broke one trying to get his life together. Earn got jealous about Van dating other men and so he tried to impress her by taking her out to a dinner he couldn't afford.

Now Van's lost her job and Earn is starting to network as an agent. He's going to end up being the one able to support their daughter while she's struggling. And Van is now jealous that he's dating the girl in his phone.

It will be interesting to see how they relate to one another after their dynamic changes.
