Episode was dope as hell.

shyt felt like a metaphor for Earn's job repping Paper Boi. He's been questioned about how real he is all season. :wow:

The teasing of the other kid leading to suicide over a fake Fubu shirt.:merchant:

Paper Boi gave no fukks, even as a kid. :ehh:The idea that Al and Earn share this experience as well as being cousins says a lot about their relationship. Earn is ass out without Al's validation even now.

Am I tripping or was his partner in Science class meant to be Van? I got the impression from the fact that he has to answer all the assigned questions she asks (interesting because they have a kid together in the future) while dealing with a chick who only wants to fukk with him on the strength of his shirt being authentic.

Lowkey disappointed that we never got to meet young Darius though :to:

I was real insecure about my hairline. I would get roasted but nothing crazy because I was from a side of town that was with the shyts so nikkas treaded lightly. With that being said I was shook. I can relate to rushing out when that bell rang.

I did not want nikkas killing my hairline lmao smh man

The hereditary shyt you cannot change is the worst. It's like kids have a sixth sense for your biggest insecurities :russ:

I wish I had a hairline these days. I rock the clean shiny baldy looking like ->:mjcry::mjgrin::dame::jawalrus: :pachaha: :mjlol: now

Definitely not Van; not only was her name Erica, he and Van met in a club after he left Princeton.

A seated punch is so fukking disrespectful :wow:

I remember I got my shyt ROCKED by this cat that was a senior when I was in sixth grade. We was in the back of the bus being a$$holes throwing shyt at people and hit him in the head. Soon as the bus stopped dude walked and stole off on me. I ate that shyt like a champ and talked my shyt but I was hurting. Plus I was a lil nikka so I ain't have a shot at throwing hands.

Who remembers perpetrating?
U couldn't wear 2 different clothing brands:francis:
Man as much as I know it doesn't matter at all, I still very rarely rock 2 different brands if they both have a logo visible. Some stuff just never goes away.... Also, I 100 percent had the legit yellow FUBU shirt for the first day of 6th Grade. At least I hope :yeshrug:

On the real, in middle school I ain’t have all the fresh shyt. My parents weren’t buying that shyt. They ain’t start until my older sisters told him he can’t go to HS wearing shyt from Burlingtons.

Edit: :ohhh::mjcry:
I was all about the replica jerseys. At one point I had about 30 of them joints. I was doing that shyt like 2-3 years before he became popular. By the time it became in style I had grew a foot and only a couple even came close to fitting. Since we was in a small town you could get away with a lot more clothing wise since wasn't many big malls or anything close. By high school it was all hand me downs from my brother.

Alright now time to play fake TV reviewer and try to figure out the meaning of the episode. My takeaway is that it showed Ern being so concerned about his own reputation and people judging him that it lead to someone else's life being lost. Add in the fact that it was Paperboi who had to come in and save him. Fast forward to present day, Ern dropping out of Harvard. Everybody looking at him like a loser. Paperboi steps in to save him again. Maybe Ern comes to the realization that the only reason he's so pressed to be Paperboi's manager is for his own reputation and to give himself a purpose while it's not really the best thing for Paperboi which is fukking Paperboi's life up. And that he needs to just stand on his own two and not give a fukk how everybody else is judging.
