) but I'm not very convinced by that article tbh, I've been hearing about stuff like this for long enough...and I don't believe the US even need a "full-scale" invasion anyway, they get what they want as it is, and I don't see China totally overcoming its influence either...

This; AFRICOM, the UN, and many other factors don't give a shyt about a shyt about Africa or Africans, they will just rape them of their resources and likely kill some our fellow people in Africa. There is no reason, why any person should cosign this(let alone a black person).

i never said that africom or the UN gives a shyt about africa, and i dont think africa has to give a shyt about about africom and the UN, african countries should do what is in their best interest, and forging stronger ties with the US is in their interest IMO

yeah and they are black people in america, but either way how does one contradict another? africa can have stronger ties with black people and the US, there is no contradiction in that

if africa wants to form bonds with america then we should let them..but the wrong thing to assume is that they don't need us..they already forming bonds with China and russia the most fuc**ed up thing is that Chinese corporations are already expanding in Africa(look at China fueling Sudan's civil war coz of the oil" because they think chinese workers already have high salaries
Who said there was any contradiction? All I said is that Africa needs to forge bonds with black people. American Africans, Cuban Africans, Canadian Africans, Brazilian Africans, etc. Having business and cultural ties with the black people of the west vastly helps both sides. There's hundreds of years of evidence to show that doing anything other than uniting doesn't end so well.

yea exactly, the thing is these posters and the writer presume that african countries cannot make their own decisions that is in their own interest
every country can make their decision if they want stronger ties with the US or participate in africom, africom hasnt invaded any country, the american soldiers that are in these countries are there because of an agreement between 2 sovereign nations that are looking out for their own interests as they should
the notion that getting closer to the US is a bad thing is ridiculous, these guys are stuck in an anti colonial ideology from the 1960s that doesnt really apply in a highly connected world
