I'm addressing the "it'll be easy work for GGG" people. I fukks with GGG but he is NOT going to dismantle Canelo or stop em. I just don't see it.

Again, what top tier fighter has ggg faced that had led you to believe he will destroy Canelo?
this is flawed logic.

this is flawed logic.

It's flawed and imperfect but it isn't out the realm to question.

I say that bc people will be like "he's ran thru x y z boxer" but it could be easily shut down if somebody asked "how great are those boxers". Brakes gotta be pumped a bit when your resume is funny in the light.

i just think the classic way to discredit a boxer has always been who is opp was, focus should be on the fighter showing out.

Funny because Russell was showing out against how many bums and he ran into a good fighter in Loma and all of a sudden no showing out to be found. :mjlol:

These middleweight aren't good at all. Blown up welterweight Cotto beat Gaele just as impressively as ggg did all while taking 70+ less punches. So yeah the level of opposition matters.

I was dude's first stans on here fam but pump your brakes. :mjlol: Any decent fighter can show out against a bum and 99.98% of this nikka's resumes are bums and he is a good fighter so of course he is going to "show out" just like 147lber Miguel Cotto was showing out against these nikkas.

cotto is a good fighter but he was handicapping these fighters, either way his route was very short.... wipe out a whole division by ko in professional boxing and call them all bums:snoop:, classic way to discredit a boxer, they siad the same thing about wlad.

Brehs keep finding ways to make something out of nothing. People act like they have never heard fighters take public stances to make a fight before.

Canelo said 155 or no fight, now he is saying weight wont be an isse and we can do it at 160.
GGG has said 160 or no fight and his team has said we would consider less than 160.

Both sides are trying to maintain some leverage and not make giving away things without any negotiation.

From what I read, a lot of people still wouldnt be surprised if they meet somewhere in between.

We dont know what ODH and Loeffler are talking about and those may have something or nothing to do with negotiations.

All we know is it appears if the fight is above 155 there is little reason it wont get done.
how is this making something out of nothing?.....golovkin and his team have been stating that defending a middleweight title under 160 is disrespect to the sport. but before canelo ever had a belt they were more than willing to have golovkin defend his own middleweight title below 160. because the truth is it has nothing to do with canelos belt and it never did....they just want that meal ticket. if its only about the belt like they claim shouldnt golovkin be even MORE willing to fight him under 160 now that Canelo actually has a title to offer him?....things aren't adding up here.

we're not gonna brush this off as just promoter talk or posturing. these dudes have been contradicting themselves in almost every situation from ward to canelo. they're some sneaky snake type of muthafukkers and they never get called out because the cac media wants to keep building this dude up into the great white hope. golovkin is basically the new Pacquiao now. Teflon when it comes to the media. but we're haters cause we expose the bullshyt:beli:

This is my take on it:
The three most prominent people in GGG's camp are: Abel, GGG, and Loeffler.
Abel talks crazy and a true GGG stan shouldn't use solely what Abel says as the base of his argument. I think us #GGGoodBoys have pretty much nulled whatever Abel says, whether it helps or hurts our arguments.
I don't know this for fact, but the vibe I get is that GGG doesn't overly concern himself with the business side of boxing. He wants to fight and I believe he is willing to fight anyone. I think he puts a lot of trust into his management team to handle his career and fights that get put in front of him. GGG rarely gives interviews with any information and he never really says anything controversial. Probably the most in depth interview of him out there he said he doesn't want fans to be a part of his personal life and wants to keep personal GGG and boxing GGG separate. He also seems to wind everything back to respect. He thinks of things in his own mindset of respect and disrespect and that is often how he explains his boxing opinions. In an interview he stated that he felt Curtis Stevens disrespected him in the build up to the fight, which is why he tried to beat him up a little extra.
Loeffler actually seems like a pretty honest dude, as boxing promoters go. My take is that Loeffler's struggles come from being a smaller promoter with less leverage. He can't build opponents like TR or PBC can or manufacture opportunities. He relies on working with other promoters for virtually every fight GGG is in. Similar to Duva's issues with Kovalev. They want to power play their fighter because they are PFP worthy and have some cache, but it is hard when you aren't a big dog promoter.

This comes around to the GGG and 160 thing. I actually believe GGG and his team are probably willing to fight below 160, but not as low as 155. They probably were floating meeting Canelo to get people talking about the idea of a fight, because if they are at different weights than not as many people will talk. Hype for the two to meet started picking up, and I get the vibe that GGG's team probably started telling him to say 160 or no fight so they don't give away anything before negotiations actually start. Where Canelo can negotiate being the A-side and K2 knows this and probably knew that if they went into negotiations straight away they would have to concede to everything Canelo wanted. Instead, it seems that GGG's camp has built hype for the matchup through the media and HBO, and now people are demanding it to happen. Because of this I think it has given GGG a little power in that the media has been putting pressure on Canelo if he would only fight at 155.

Now you may not be happy with the way the media jumped on this fight and is creating the narrative before it has even started, but that is what the media is now for everything. To me it looks like GGG's team is using it to their advantage or just got lucky and the narrative is spinning their way, because the narrative is becoming not Canelo the A-side vs. GGG the B-side, which is acknowledged to be the case, but rather people just want to see the fight be made and they don't care who the A or B side is (which is what happened to Mayweather-Pacquiao, negotiations seemed to continually stall because of A/B side power plays, but the fans didn't care who was which, they just wanted the fight).

me personally, I don't buy that golovkin doesn't concern himself with what sanchez and loeffler say. I think he knows exactly what they say and he supports what they say. but his role is to just smile and play the part while they do his dirty work for him. kinda like Freddie roach and Pacquiao. golovkin plays the part well though. he's a lot smarter than we give him credit for. he knows exactly how to play the media game and so far it's working for him. Dude is ranked number 1 p4p, considered one of the goats already and he's never even fought a really good fighter yet....nobody else has gotten that treatment. he's gotten the glory of an all time great without actually having to show the guts of one. so hats off to him.

here's Andre ward breaking it down perfectly...

that being said, even though i dont agree with your take on golovkin, I actually respect your response :ehh:......you seem like one of the reasonable shook boys. we dont agree but I can respect your point of view.:manny:
