it's very obvious they don't feel confident little g can win at 155. he's sparred canelo. he knows how hard he hits. and in the back of his mind he knows canelo was only 19 at that time and he's a different animal now. he feels with pac and floyd even if he loses a little power they still wouldn't be able to hurt him and he can just overwhelm them. not with canelo. in other words...this guy is only willing to come down for welterweights but not jr middleweights.
look at abel sanchez last year talking about a cotto catchweight
he says they wouldn't do it. but in the next sentence he says we gotta sit down and discuss it. and sometimes you gotta make concessions

After Floyd beat Canelo and became JMW champ, rumors started Floyd should fight Sergio because he was a small MW. When Sergio went down writers started pushing GGG. He said its Floyd, i would be crazy not to take the fight, even Hopkins and Ward were saying they would fight Floyd.
i just posted an interview in this thread where he was again asked about fighting Floyd and he said of course he would fight him, but Floyd gets to make his own decisions. He isnt out petitioning for a fight. Even Mikey Garcia agreed and said anyone would take a Floyd fight for the money. Mikey said he would do it in a second and he has never fought above 135.
And maybe GGG has the same view as the rest of us...Canelo may fight at 155, but with his age and his body type, he looks more MW then JMW. If he feels like Canelo is a future MW player and the nearest cash cow to his own weight, why not call him out. Less popular fighters have been calling out more popular fighters since forever. But if it GGG who does the calling out than they all of a sudden have a problem with it.
I will say the regulars who post here keep it real and post based on facts. Differences of opinions occur because others stan the opposite side.
