I've never seen so many dudes giving a fighter props for not fighting somebody:russ:
GGG is a bytch for ducking Ward but Canelo is a genius for doing it with GGG, huh? At least be consistent with your hate. Who cares if he's the A side and he doesn't have to fight him. It's a fight that everyone wants to see. Are ya'll managers or ya'll fans?

we don't even know if canelo went back on his word. he said he'd fight him at 160. he never said he'd fight him next at 160.

He did say he'd fight him next at 160....that's why I was pissed.

and even if he did go back on his word, fukk it. prolly woke up the next morning like hold up....why the fukk am I about to make a concession for this fukk boy who's never taken a risk and doesn't have one great win under his belt.....:camby:

When you put it like that....:russ::mjlol:

And :dahell: at Abel Sanchez still trying to enter GGG into the Mayweather Lottery....nikka, it's over:what:

Floyd is retired and there's no need for him to face someone like GGG who's much bigger than him, when GGG wouldn't do the same:martin:

nikka need to be calling out JCC Jr (who vs JCC Jr would be a PPV which does at LEAST 300k) or some other 168lbers or something....not trying to melt down in order to have a 25+ weight advantage over Floyd and get a bullshyt ass win:camby:

I personally want to see them fight at 160.:manny:
I don't want either one to be drained.:yeshrug:

I see your point and I'm not defending Triple G. I'm not going to shyt on Alvarez either. I just think it's stupid to give Canelo props for denying Golovkin a fight - negotiations or not. I don't see how a boxing fan can take pleasure in a fight not happening. This A-side/B-side bullshyt is seriously ruining boxing. As a fan, I could personally give two fukks about who brings more numbers and who has to chase who. I just want to see this fight ASAP - period.
You should watch a different sport then.politics aren't going anywhere in boxing:yeshrug:

I was never a huge GGG fan, I think while he is really good he is kinda overrated by boxing community and that he needs to step up. With that being said it can't be denied that he tried to step up multiple times. He didn't take the Ward fight though, so I don't know...

Canelo on the other hand is one of my favourite present fighters but his behaviour about this whole case is huge let down for me.

  • He couldn't make weight for sww one year ago or so which already insisted that he can be a natural middleweight by now
  • He won the 160 title from Cotto but still did what Cotto also did, bytched about he isn't being a middleweight and wanting to fight on 155 with Golovkin and other bullshyt. If you are the middleweight champion you fight in 160. Period. If you don't want to fight in middleweight then drop the belt (he did eventually but only after the Khan fight).
  • Picked Khan who came from lightweight and by now he is maximum a natural ww not a middleweight. Everybody who follows the sport knew that Khan poses no real challenge for him.
  • After the Khan fight he backe out from the Golovkin fight. Don't try to make it look nicer. I'm sad about it and it's a let down but he really did. The same Canelo who didn't give a fukk when Oscar and the other smart asses in his group complained about the Lara or Trout fights. Because he wanted to PROVE himself. While none of the fights was a glorious, wide victory imo he won both of them clearly and he proved himself.
  • Now he ruins that picture of himself with all this behaviour. Idk if Canelo changed or he just got beaten by the industry (his promoter, his team, etc...)
So I'm upset about this and I would thought more about Caelo than this.

Only problem I had was after he called GGG out to fight at 160 next, and then dropped the belt. I didn't see the point in that at all and it looks bad) ***

Thanks

One time he did ask for 155 maybe against Lara. He didn't miss weight but he asked for 155 probably because he couldn't make 154.

And yeah maybe he won the beltat 155 but that was because Cotto was also a diva and that's a behaviour what he shouldn't follow imo...
Boxing is chaotic enough as it is with all the organizations, politics, numbers of weightclasses and champions... No need for boxers suit weightclass borders by their preferred taste now...

Anyone else heard that Arum and Haymon supposedly buried the hatchet and now they're planning common fight?
I'm still sceptical though, seems too nice knowing Bob, Haymon and boxing politics in general.

It was because he didn't want to fight for the same WBA Championship that Floyd just beat him for in his previous fight. It was awarded to Lara, and instead of facing Lara in a Championship fight, at 155...the belt wouldn't be on the line.

I don't really like titles being defended at Catchweights either. If Canelo wants to weigh in at 155, he should...but not putting a cap on someone wanting to weigh in at the full 160 limit. I don't like that too much, but hey, Canelo has earned the right to either tell someone to "fight me at 155 or beat it:camby:" by winning the Championship in the 1st place:manny:

I fully support him saying that originally to GGG, but once he switched his tune to "I'll fight him next at 160" that's where I began to feel that he messed up.

If PBC and TR comes together, it would be for the best. I'd love to see Lomachenko & Walters vs the PBC featherweights. Felix Verdejo vs Robert easter Jr or Jamel Herring. Terence Crawford & Timothy Bradley vs the PBC 147lbers.

Boxing needs them to bury the hatchet and push forward the sport:obama:
