Trae?? Or Ja??

That's a toss up at 10. Trae has great regular season impact, but his game will hold worse in the postseason going forward than Ja.

I don't see a team that has Trae as the best player being a real threat. I can with Ja.

Bruh the Hawks with Trae as their best player made the ECF & won 2 against Milwaukee in the eastern finals.

The Grizz with Ja as their best player didn’t make it out of the 2nd round.

I said going forward

You're also ignoring last season, when the Heat made Trae look unplayable for most of the series

His style of play isn't sustainable :manny:

If you're arguing that he gets a bump for the '21 ECF run, then you have to do the same with him shytting the bed in the first round this season.

It's meaningless to reference him leading the league in total scoring and assists, when you don't measure players by totals, but by how effective, efficient and impactful they are, which Trae doesn't even remotely compare to the best players in the league. Out of all the main stars, his game is the easiest to expose, and that's what really keeps him out of these discussions because there are simply too many limitations to his game.

I’ll give you discounting him cause these last playoffs but by every metric puts Trae in that league. Unless you’re only solely looking at defensive stuff idk what your looking at that doesn’t show Trae to be one of the most impactful, effective, and efficient players in the NBA. Even with his defensive deficiencies. Anyways, no point on going back and forth on this. We just disagree. We’ll see tho. Trae gotta make up for that playoff stinker this year

Ok :mjlol:

I guess Tatum & Brown need to be moved down some spots since GSW spanked them.

Honorable mention to Butler and Kat. And I got a feeling Dame is going to bounce back this season to in a big way along with Kyrie. But it's only room for 10.

Tatum and Brown didn't have crucial flaws exposed. Jaylen Brown needs to work on his handle, and he's all set. Tatum just has to improve his finishing.

Trae? Man needs to spam the pick-and-roll. The fact that Miami gave him a historic ass-whopping by switching 1-5 says a lot. He had one of the worst shooting performances for an all-star in a playoff series iiirc.

He's gonna need to bulk up, improve heavily defensively, learn to play off ball with another star, be a better 3pt shooter, and learn to create jumpshots without the pnr.

That's a lot, we'll see if he does it
