What the fukk has Ja done to deserve a top ten spot
I’m saying tho. Living in a twilight zone. I fukk with Aja but he’s not better than Trae.
Ja is most definitely better than Trae.

He's proven himself to be one of the most effective high-volume scorers in a postseason climate (over a generous sample size), which is the ultimate acid test for an elite player. And with the margin of natural progression given his age, I don't see any issue with folks putting him in their top-10 rankings.

So the 2021 playoffs didn’t happen for Trae?

Nobody had the hawks beating the Knicks or 76ers in the playoffs & Trae dominated. Low key if the Hawks could have stopped Middleton, that would have been a series closer than it was because Trae was efficient against the Bucks as well.

You’d put Ja over Jimmy Butler?

Yeah, I think the defining thing for me is Ja is only going to get better, whereas we've already seen the best of Jimmy (and he hasn't been a dominant player for long enough to give him liberty of being locked in the top-10). I won't begrudge anyone who puts Jimmy over him though.

So Trae gets no love or bump for an ECF run just last year? Ja’s team was like 21-5 without him. I love Ja. Had him has my dark horse MVP pick last year, but I think nikkas just hate Trae if we are acting like Ja is just clear cut better. Especially when Trae is leading the league in total scoring and assists and while Ja is also a bad defender.

If you're arguing that he gets a bump for the '21 ECF run, then you have to do the same with him shytting the bed in the first round this season.

It's meaningless to reference him leading the league in total scoring and assists, when you don't measure players by totals, but by how effective, efficient and impactful they are, which Trae doesn't even remotely compare to the best players in the league. Out of all the main stars, his game is the easiest to expose, and that's what really keeps him out of these discussions because there are simply too many limitations to his game.

In no particular order

Steph
Jokic
Giannis
Luka
KD
Embiid
Bron
Butler
Kawhi (could be higher if 100%)
Ja or Tatum (brown outperformed him a lot so if Tatum is top 10 than brown has to be right there as well imo)

Trae?? Or Ja??

That's a toss up at 10. Trae has great regular season impact, but his game will hold worse in the postseason going forward than Ja.

I don't see a team that has Trae as the best player being a real threat. I can with Ja.
