We getting one of Ayton, Bagley, Porter, Bamba, or Doncic. Top 4 all got 2nd team All-NBA ceilings despite the different styles. We pick Doncic and we see what woulda been if the Spurs built around Manu Ginobli

Absolute worse case, we end up with one of the Bridges, Trae Young, Sexton, or Robert Williams. I’m more worried about who we can grab with the Wolves and pick. We get another Collins-like slip from one of these lottery picks and we’ll be looking real good. I have faith that we’ll get at least one contributor from our last 2 picks too....

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Atlanta Hawks have granted permission for head coach Mike Budenholzer to meet the Phoenix Suns:


The Atlanta Hawks have granted coach Mike Budenholzer permission to speak with the Phoenix Suns about their head-coaching vacancy, league sources told ESPN.

What does that tell you about our situation then that Bud would leave here to go to a worse team and organization? Read between the lines breh

Bud wants power, he can go to Phoenix and basically get what he wants and run the organization how he likes if they offer him President/Coach level responsibilities

Keep in mind Bud ain't goin to Phoenix just to coach...and if he can get an Ayton, Doncic or Bagley to anchor to a young team he's in a much better situation than he is here even if it's a tougher conference. I'm not guaranteeing that he's leaving but the fact that he's asking to talk to another team about their opening is an indictment on Schlenk, the Hawks organization and how Bud feels about his place in the organization. If this was all speculation why is he asking to talk to other teams?

If he feels the grass is greener over there let him go. We've seen this story before and it usually doesn't end well. He can run the show all he wants he wasn't good at it here when he had that power. Suns just coming off a year where players were publicly shytting on the organization, I like where we're at compare to them. We have a good chance to get a star too, there's no true #1 pick in this draft.
