It ain't no 50/50, it ain't happening. Too many variables. Hes under contract. His wife don't want to leave. Atlanta got cap space and we got four top 35 picks in a deep class. We gucci

I've asked you to post his contract details yet you still have been unable to do so. So I'll ask you again: What are Bud's contract details? And how do you know what his wife wants to do? :dwillhuh:

The variables are control and the direction of this franchise, why is it so hard for you to believe that there are other situations that might also appeal to an in his prime coach who no longer holds the power in the organization that he once did?

"Dont believe everything you hear":heh:

nikka just be speculating. U see it straight from buds mouth and u still dont believe him.

U cant speak for all coaches, shyt why is rick carlisle still with the mavs? He understands they going thru a rebuilding phase:dahell:

Was Rick Carlisle promtoted to the President of basketball operations of the Mavs and then demoted back to just being a coach? Carlisle has also moved around a bunch as a coach too

:mjlol: at im speculating. Nah breh the fact that it's been reported by different outlets and is being covered by a local columnist for our local paper should let you know that the "speculation" is real.

Y'all acting like this is a non story is hilarious to me

Like I said breh believe what you want and whatever Sir Foster tells you. The quote I posted from Bud was far from a full on denial...Bud sounds like he doesn't want to get into it right now(which I can respect) but I'm also not going to be shocked if a job opens up and he gets offered a chance to be a coach/president and takes it. We also don't know his contract situation which could factor into any potential decision

Bazemore said ‘it hurts’ to see Hawks fans root for team to lose

The Hawks hurt their standing in the draft lottery by winning two games during the season’s final weekend. That created an upside-down scenario in which some Hawks fans expressed dismay because the team won games.

Two Hawks players, Kent Bazemore and Malcolm Delaney, responded to those fans on Twitter by explaining that players always play to win. Bazemore was asked about the development Wednesday, a day after the Hawks concluded their season.

It hurts,” Bazemore said. “For those guys that go out and give it their all every night and people want them to underachieve, it’s just beyond me. I don’t know when it’s been acceptable to not do your best and go out and try to lose. That’s not the culture here in Atlanta. It’s never been that.

“We’ve been in the postseason the last 10 years. We just lost a lot of games because of inexperience. But that stuff is beyond me. I don’t know why you live in a city, you want them to lose. It’s just baffling.”

We wanted you to lose because we're sick of losing in the second round every year for 50 years. fukkin idiot

Hawks will have significant cap space, flexibility this summer

VIEW CAPTION

The Hawks are one of just five teams projected to have significant salary-cap space this summer, but don’t expect the team to use it on top free agents.

Instead, GM Travis Schlenk has said his plan is to use that space to absorb salaries in trades from teams looking to shed money while acquiring draft picks and promising young players. Schlenk predicts that as many as 16 teams will be subject to the luxury tax next season, meaning there could be several teams looking to make cost-saving deals.

The Hawks have the flexibility to make such deals because they have just seven players with fully guaranteed contracts for next season Three of those players have relatively cheap rookie-scale contracts for first-round draft picks and another will make the league minimum salary. The Hawks will add four more players in the upcoming draft.

Just in case y'all thought we were trying to win games next year. 25-30 wins projected next season

If people thought the bad contracts we took on last yr were bad (i.e. Plumlee) we will be a sea of bad contracts and players on expiring deals next season. I'm not mad at this approach, but people need to be honest about where we are in this process. Next year might be worse with more young players

Good news. This is year one of the rebuild. Collect assets and build the team the right way. Rushing things will only hurt the team in the long run.
We have 4 picks in the top 33 hopefully out scouting department has done their research, we don't need anymore Bembry those who don't get any playing time. That 18 picks from Minny is in that 15-19 sweet spot in the draft where you find players like Greek Freek.

The team is fine this year draft pick wise I agree. It wouldn’t hurt to acquire picks for future drafts. It’ll give them more flexibility in the future.

Nailing this draft could take a year off the rebuild. They have the pieces to do it. Just gotta hope the draft Schlenk had last season wasn’t a fluke.

Bembry would be fine if he could stay healthy.

i think we should draft Luka Doncic, none of these other players sound good enough to me, I got real question marks about real tall real thin guys developing into anything long term, but I guess you got to stockpile
