Slovenian prospect Luka Doncic says his positional versatility compares favorably to Ben Simmons‘.

In a story by ESPN’s Mina Kimes, Doncic said, “I think we are, like, similar, you know? [Simmons] can play point guard, he can play forward.”

We really aren't that far. Prince is vastly improved, Bazemore is finally decent, Dennis is the same ole Dennis. We get a top 3 pick, especially Ayton, make some key moves to vastly improve the bench, we should be fine and a playoff team in no time. Milwaukee is capped out, bad trade pieces outside of Giannis and Middleton and limited potential on the bench. Atlanta has a far higher ceiling. Whoever coaches Giannis is just going to see him walk in a few years or ask for a trade.

Bud still has clout and he still has an iron clad deal.

We aren't that far? What team are you watching? This is a bottom 5 roster in the NBA with no All Stars or anyone even close. Prince at best is an average starter, WOAT at best is now salvageable to trade...he's not a starter on a title contender. Schroeder is what Teague was, a decent to sometimes good NBA PG. Not that far...are you kidding me? This roster is 2-3 years from being a legit NBA roster, you acting like Bazemore, Prince and Dennis are significant pieces of this rebuild. They're ok parts to have, but if this rebuild is relying on any of those guys to take the next step then we're in worse shape than I thought

And like I said, Bud's contract details aren't available. We don't know what his situation is especially after essentially losing his job last offseason. This team's current situation is an indictment on his tenure as President/Coach, he's lost significant clout in the organization...when this roster was built it was built to lose, there's no way this yr plays out like it did if Bud was still President, not a chance

He's being a professional but he came to Atlanta to win, not to coach a lottery team with a 3-5 year rebuild
