Why elevate Bud to President when you already had Wes Wilcox in the organization as GM? And if the goal was to make Bud a temporary President, why not give him a temporary title? What you're saying doesn't hold weight especially when fissures in the organization emerged last year between Bud/Wilcox not being on the same page with regards to how the roster was being torn down (Korver getting traded, not resigning Horford, keeping Millsap). Let's keep it real Bud was the real President and was basically demoted because Ressler determined that this franchise had lost its direction. That happened under Bud.

To say Bud is cool with going from basically only reporting to the owner to now having a boss (Schlenk) with a vastly different background and vision for the franchise is dishonest at best

Wilcox was always assistant gm, dating back to ferry days. It wasnt going to be temporary if it panned out but we werent about to let someone come in and have full control because we were still competitive.

The issue bud had was he couldnt trade guys that he was going to war with on a nightly basis. Its the same reason doc rivers is under fire and being criticized by his former players. He would tell u, you are not being dealt and than trade you the next day.

Bud couldnt juggle short and long term goals while having both jobs. I know for a fact he is cool with this tank season because he knows he gets a blue chip prospect at the end of the season. And his favorite is doncic as he has made several trips out there.

The org is all over the place. We got some Bamba lovers, Ayton lovers, Bagley lovers, Mikal B lovers, Doncic lovers, and lovers of a number of other prospects. I'll wait and see but I really believe they won these games of late for player morale.
