presumably, when they get to discovery, UMG will send them a sizeable settlement offer
50 million at least probably

Straight up jacked them boys, ain't no way I'm believing Limp Bizkit hasn't recouped as big as they were

if im reading this correct, limp bizket has sold 46 million records (varying prices im sure) on top of doing ~800 million streams year (not sure what payout this would be, I cant imagine it'd be millions of dollars though)

UMG is saying they havnt recouped $43 million they spent on limp bizket

but even if they sold every record for $1 they'd have recouped :pachaha: but lets be honest cds back then were $10-20 so really its probably closer to $500 million on top of leasing rights to movies, etc.

UMG definitely cutting a check

Now could this start a domino? I imagine this is ALOT of people situation. They straight up lie about some people not recouping because we don’t know exactly how much those catalogues make. But we know it’s 10x what they disclose.

UMG allegedly told Durst’s representatives that it had spent $43 million on Limp Bizkit’s music, which would have to be recovered before Durst was paid any royalties. UMG also allegedly told Durst’s team that Durst hadn’t received any royalty statements because UMG was “not required to provide them since his account was still so far from recoupment,” according to the complaint.

Tough luck .. still hasn’t recouped his advances :francis:
Their first 2 albums sold 23 million

No way they should be in the red.

They made my way or the highway right? The stone Cole vs rock promo track? That alone probably is still feeding the label.
The numbers don't add up. This band sold over 40 million albums total, at $15 a CD that's about $600 million in revenue. UMG claims they spent $48 million total on the band and haven't recouped their investment.

They made atleast a $552 million dollar profit, and still claiming the band owes?

They aren't even hiding the scam

How does it work then, because this makes no sense.

"The complaint states that Durst never received royalties from UMG, despite Limp Bizkit having sold more than 45 million records since the band signed in the 1990s with California indie Flip Records, with distribution from UMG’s Interscope.

The complaint says that, so far this year, Limp Bizkit has amassed 450 million streams, and is on track for a total of more than 793 million by year’s end.
The complaint stated that Durst and his Limp Bizkit bandmates received advances on their albums, with UMG covering recording costs, and were to start receiving royalty payments once the costs were recouped, Bloomberg reported.

UMG allegedly told Durst’s representatives that it had spent $43 million on Limp Bizkit’s music, which would have to be recovered before Durst was paid any royalties. UMG also allegedly told Durst’s team that Durst hadn’t received any royalty statements because UMG was “not required to provide them since his account was still so far from recoupment,” according to the complaint."
