Pay them
can't believe we got people siding with the labels .... umg will settle
Maybe he has a shyt deal… we’re making judgments based on what the article states Hope he gets his money if owedcan't believe we got people siding with the labels .... umg will settle
So if you’re only getting paid $1 per album sold then you have to pay back that $43 mil FIRST only coming from that royalty money THEN you can start receiving royalty checks. I think that’s how it works. Or used to.
Thats grimey, why dont they just take from $9 they getTHE LABEL TAKES LIMP BISKITS
ROYALTIES TO RECOUP THE 46 MILLION
IN ADVANCE MONEY ...
THE LABEL DOESN'T TAKE THEIR OWN SHARE
TO RECOUP THE ADVANCE MONEY.
THAT WOULDN'T MAKE ANY SENSE
I wonder what they charge for internal services.UMG allegedly told Durst’s representatives that it had spent $43 million on Limp Bizkit’s music, which would have to be recovered before Durst was paid any royalties. UMG also allegedly told Durst’s team that Durst hadn’t received any royalty statements because UMG was “not required to provide them since his account was still so far from recoupment,” according to the complaint.
Tough luck .. still hasn’t recouped his advances
Why would they do that if a dummy artist will sign a contract saying otherwise…Thats grimey, why dont they just take from $9 they get
Yeah but damn, they're already getting $9, dipping in to the artists $1 is grotesque greed on unimaginable levels. Why would they do that if a dummy artist will sign a contract saying otherwise…
In an artist an I ain’t ever signing shyt.
Try listening to his lyrics now, it's so fukking cringe
exactly what it is .. they cook the books too... same shyt sport team owners do claiming they stay in the red.. owners just moving money from one pocket to anotherI wonder what they charge for internal services.
I bet a UMG owned company can charge another UMG owners company inflated prices. “Market research” 2m dollars (but conducted by a junior that makes 70k).
Internal pricing “transfer pricing” is wizardry
