Its the 90s cartoon.

A lot of people won't admit but they grew up with the cartoons and based most of their knowledge and love around that.

That's why lame characters like apocalypse and gambit were/are popular.

I put apocalypse on doomsday level. They are just totally one note.

The movie version was whatever. Felt like a complete waste of Oscar Isaac.

I never got the Apocalypse love to be honest. I always thought he was at the bottom of the barrel when it came to X-Men villains. fukking Toad is more interesting to me than Apocalypse.

Meanwhile Marvel has been building up for Thanos how many movies?whats so interesting about Thanos over Apocalypse?im no comic book expert, but from what ive seen Apocalypse is by far more interesting as a character....he was just introduced to us horribly wrong.

I do see him as more of a string puller, where the story revolves around him, without him actually being in it....hes best when other peoples motivations are based on him i think....Marvel is doing it perfectly right with Thanos, but Apocalypse is definitly more interesting:banderas:

The gambit disrespect i refuse to even acknowledge:scust:,and yeah my love is based on the cartoon but after seeing more he definitley wouod be top 3 xmen who could carry they own movie:ufdup:

gambit being popular must chap the hides of many so called real xmen fans. its one of the few things they cant let go, then they go and ironically cape for characters like fantomex.

That's really, really tough. I would be down for a movie starring the original five, but I could see a trilogy with the All-New-All-Different group working out.

For the first movie, I would start with the Orginal 5 in a flashback for the first ten minutes or so. Flash forward a few years as Cyclops and Prof. X recruit Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Storm, and Colossus. The heroes undergo training and go on a mission to rescue the OG X-men from Stephen Lang in his research facility, resulting in a huge battle against Sentinels at the end. At the end Jean makes the sacrifice play and comes back as the Phoenix.

For the second, I would introduce Lilandra. Magneto has stolen Shi'ar technology and is using it to fuel a doomsday device that will destroy all humans on earth. Lilandra needs the technology to save her people, the Shi'ar. This time around Phoenix is fully used to her new powers. Rogue (and maybe Gambit, just to satisfy the 90's babies) are added to the team. The X-men challenge Magneto and his brotherhood of evil mutants in the heart of his volcano base to save both the humans and the Shi'ar. In the end, Jason Wyngarde is revealed to be spying on Jean.

The third one would open in medias res, as they've been attacked multiple times by the Hellfire Club between movies and they rendezvous at Angel's home in New Mexico. The heroes infiltrate the Hellfire Club and battle the Inner Circle after Jean is turned against the group. They beat the Inner Circle, but Jean becomes Dark Phoenix and flies of on a rampage, like in the comics. Also like the comics, the final battle pits the X-men against the Imperial Guard (who want Jean executed). Jean sacrifices herself in the end. After her funeral, Kitty Pryde arrives at the X-mansion, having just received her acceptance letter to Xavier's home for the gifted.

EDIT: In this case with the Dark Phoenix Saga I'd also be cool with them going with the 90's cartoon version where no inhabited planets are destroyed and Jean lives in the end, if they plan on making more movies. I would either kill Jean off permanently here or just keep her alive for the rest of the series.

Get to witing breh you never know:manny:

Im writing a script right now for X-men and im about half done,my knowledge is mostly based on the cartoon but ive done some more research through youtube, hey thats more than Singer did and yall ate his movies up:pachaha:

My story actually revolves around Rogue, hate to say revolve around because i feel like everybody has they fair share of spotlight....its not Rogue ft X-Men at all:whoa:

Magneto is definitley in it,and Wolverine.....cant believe Fox got nikkas talking bout they need a break from Wolverine:childplease:?i do introduce space in the first movie.

And oh yeah,my second IDEA is for a Wolverine solo movie:sas1:?which i already know how it ends and its loosley based on a comic storyline....its actually about Sabertooth as equally,as well as other mutants i will be using as sacrificial lambs to be killed off by Sabertooth in the movie.....its more like a Halloween 2 then a comic movie though, events happen that put Wolverine in the Dr Lumis role....besides he obviously isnt trying to talk it out with Sabertooth like that dumbass Lumis...but it is psychological, pretty much know how it begins and ends but havent started.

My biggest problem so far is my spelling and probaly format:mjcry:,is knowing what mutants to use, which is why i had to stop and do more research:jbhmm:....have a pretty nice connected universe so far and sequel and spinoff ideas though i think:patrice:

In like what 14 films Thanos has had what 5 minutes of screen time?

What's shown hasn't been that interesting. marvel hasn't really built him up other than we know he wants the gems. I really don't see what they're doing it right. I mean it's cool they're building to him but they haven't proven anything with him.

Thanos story of being in love with death is far more interesting personally.

And gambit is meh. he's not that strong of a character being people liking his look

Rogue was the last character that joined that I felt was really worth having around. Paul Smith :band eras:

90's babies aren't gonna like this, but Gambit is all style and very little substance IMO. He had his moments in the 90's cartoon but the overwhelming majority of the best stuff in the actual comics either has nothing to do with him (Morrison, Whedon) or takes place way before he first showed up (Claremont/Byrne). I don't think its a coincidence that they're having so much trouble getting his movie off the ground.

i dont think his popularity has anything to do with the movie getting off the ground. its more of the shytshow that fox has created with the mutant brand that has hindered things. if they can push mystique to a lead character, then theres something more there than popularity. and like logan, when they reign him in, hes a great character.

Thanos (in the comics) is an infinitely more interesting character than Apocalypse could ever hope to be.
Sadly, Marvel has basically shyt the bed with the build up for the character which I am not even surprised by anymore because that studio sucks balls when it comes to presenting well crafted super-villains.
So all you will get me to admit is that Thanos and Apocalypse have been disappointing in their cinematic incarnations.

Got a feeling Thanos will be garbage, they're just delaying the inevitable. He has too much to live up to and in IW they're gonna focus more on the Heroes than Thanos to make you forget how garbage he is.

Not even a Marvel fan like that, but Fox REALLY need let Marvel Studios rock with these characters :snoop:

Majority of their best characters, they can't even use them
