I realized what this show reminds me of, the episode of Jessica Jones where she is helping him use his powers for good. The British guy with powers of persuasion, the obsession with the 1 girl his powers don't work on and the girl needing to reign him in because he can't see the wrong in just killing someone for their crime.
but if not, I'll start watching it
