Ep. 2 was boring enough to make me bush the show. I usually give shows a 5-6 episode chance but this one feels like a waste of time.
I thought it was okay. I'm curious to see how it ends so I'll stick with it. It's at least more entertaining than Gotham.

Only God was more powerful. So really he could do whatever he pleased. Hell, there was a point in a story where he was destroying other realities simply by existing in them, as his mere presence was too powerful for them to sustain.

Thing was, he really just wanted to be left alone.

The book was really about.... honestly I really can't break it down.

So he's bored with immortality and omnipotence? Its not really an anti hero show then more like a comic drama

yeah the comic is absolutely nothing like the show. He isn't bored, it's moreso that he knows that everything is allegedly part of "God's Plan", and he wants nothing to do with God's plan. lol

Comic Lucifer isn't going around saving people moreso than he is constantly dealing with people's fukkery and the fallout of it.

The entire setup is that he didn't want to rule Hell anymore because he felt it was pointless. So he had someone cut off his wings (and with his wings, the far greater majority of his power), handed over the keys and left.

First story he gets the means to make a universe outside of the regular one where God has no say so at all.

Second story is not only him trying to get his wings/full power back, but the angels don't like the idea of him inviting all of creation to live in a place where God has no rule, so they set out to stop him before he even gets started. Not to mention theres a bunch of demons and older gods who want to kill him while he's at his weakest and distracted. And the host of gods that wound up with his wings.... really don't like him.

Also, his personality in the comics.... closest I can come up with is.... if you ever watched an episode of InuYasha when it was on cartoon network, Lucifer is like Sesshomaru, the lead's "evil" brother with the white hair and one arm. None of that smirking joke making charming rogue stuff that you see on the show.

Ahh sesshomaru! My nikka was walking around with a lil green demon and a lil white girl. Got it now. So how different will the show be from that cause the black dude keeps popping up on him like if his absense is causing some shyt.

BTW where can i find the complete anime of inuyasha??? I never finished it

TV Lucifer is definitely cracking too many jokes. I get that he's changing but he should still feel dangerous. He needs to show off more of his sinister side.

Show is cool thus far. Episode two was a step down but hopefully it gets better. Lucifer definitely needs to act more menacing when needed. He's kind of too nice of a guy at the moment.

Its okay. the lead and the mythology stuff help it along but other than that, it's kinda flat. It's one of those shows that you'd be upset at for its potential

Mike Carey' Lucifer was one of my favorite comics, and I wasn't going to watch the series because it didn't seem it would be as good from what I was reading about it. Good to know I wasn't wrong and am not missing anything.

Tom Ellis is really good in this role, even if its not like the comic Lucifer. I was afraid he wasn't capable of being sinister but when they do give him those moments he does it well.

Hate how they keep taking shots at rap music in this show though.
