Main negatives are too many cut scenes
Cringe dialogue between Frey and cuff
Mid story
Empty open world
Actual gameplay is fun*
People love the parkour
Spells are done well with variety
Some good boss fights
Was expecting like a 7/10. But Reviews are so bias these days. Too many people with their own agendas. Elden ring had no story, silent protagonist but was never negatively reviewed for it. Mid graphics. Clunky controls. But it wins game of the year.
Swap the main character for a white male and reviews probably go up 1 points at least
Honestly every open world game is empty. Even critically acclaimed games GTA, elden ring and skyrim have an emptiness and repetitiveness to their worlds

Yeah, people were way too amped for this game to fail for me to believe it would be reviewed fairly, also the anti-woke crowd is tap dancing all over twitter/gaf

To me, this game sounds exactly like FFXV in terms of execution and open world.
Realistically if 15 is an 81, this should be around the same, maybe a bit lower. The bias is clear, but i feel like its gonna be half priced soon so im conflicted

Expected 65-75 range by reviewers. Where it will really get destroyed is by the people. They can’t wait to shyt on it. They fully despise the two main characters before even getting to the gameplay/graphics.

Cause people actually played and enjoyed high on life.
The critic reviews and user reviews didn’t line up, high on life went kinda viral on social media and people went out to buy it.
I agree with the idea that people were wanting this game to fail. With that said the reviews might be a little more negative than the reality but this is still a mid game from what I can see. Was rooting for it but alas will pass on it. I’ll see how the cadium feels on it and maybe cop down the road.
